  1. love them sculptures, but it would make such a dent in my budget, i wouldnt be able to keep up the farm toy part of my collection as well.. It is a pleasure to go through this topic every now and then, such brilliant scenes made!
  2. it's sold what an amazing built, it is a cracking model!
  3. as is tradition, Siku will be making the LCN show model , most of the time it is one of the recent releases that is tweeked at various points.. think the 939 casting is used for this one..
  4. I cant really say much more then already been said, although (but this may be because i am on the mainland) i am missing a van in this. At my work we drive a dozen vans, the older Mercedes sprinters are rubbish because of rusting and plenty of maintance, stay away from those.. Renault Traffic seem to do well as do the Ford Transits. i have been driving a Toyota H200 (the one i am missing in here) which seems indestructable (mine is 17 !!! years old right now) and low maintenance, at my job we drive 5 of these, all older then 10 years by now, and they hardly ever require repairs, just maintenance. Full consumption can be a bit high though, judging the engine uses a very high rpm compared to other engines. VW transporters are also great, but as been mentioned before, quite expensive to purchase, even second-hand.
  5. good stuff Mark... One of the good things of this forum is the respectful debate we can have on here... @ Clive : you're point on! I don't think there will be much new models coming from the smaller manufacturers (I wont include Marge Models though, i think they are on the same level as ROS quality wise and are pretty competitive prized) that do not let most of the labor do in countries like China.. There is a market for them, but not for production runs of 250-1000 to justify the costs. I think you'll see production runs by the scratchbuilders of 30-50 pieces from now on and with higher prizes to cover costs of castings and labor as those will sell quicker and costs will thus be met quicker/completely rather then hoping and praying some party like UH won't jump in and take their bread away... If they produce higher numbers and spread the costs over more models to keep the prize per model down, there is a chance a big manufacturer will jump in and produce the same model for much less and leave the scratchbuilder with costs for producing a model that wont be met with the sales anymore.
  6. welcome aboard. It is an addicting habit, this collecting thing.. There is soo much out there, it is hard to choose, but sadly most of us must as the wallet/wife doesnt allow that much spending please show us pictures of your collection, it sounds great! (especially the FORD part ) the JD 50's series have not been mass produced as of yet, but there are some talented scratchbuilders that have made them in 1:32, you might stumble upon a couple of those examples on here..
  7. Welcome to the nuthouse Ian, great to see another member on here that starts posting. Every collection how small it is, is worth showing, you'll be surprised how many like minded persons are on here... As for your customizing attempts, dont be afraid to start a topic about it, people on here are quite helpful if you are stuck at something and there is a lot of knowledge about customing and scratch building on here.
  8. small update, actually am up to date with these finally. Although still waiting for quite a few more... Ford TW-10 TW-20 TW-30 (TWBR/R/12/81/UK.IRE) Ford FW-60 (852488 11/81) (UK) Ford 5600 (08/76/G.B.60m)(UK) Serie 30 Multifunktionele Traktoren (19088/3cyl/br/bnl/32)(Benelux 30-series) Generatie III Traktoren (19019/4cyl/br/bnl/32) (Benelux 10-series Gen.III)
  9. if it is the tractor on the picture you are on the verge of buying.. from the looks of it, it is incredibly well taken care of as it is atleast 25 years old.. Good to check out the main turning points/pivots as those have to be tight. And it's a Versatile, made to last!
  10. sorry about that Sjaak, it is difficult to see who is bidding on ebay with the usernames being coded... a few more of the latest additions: New Holland TF-combines (18059/srtf/br/gbb/321) Ford 6610 (66/R07/82UK) Ford 10-series Force II (18086/sr10/wr/gbb/3) Ford 8210 (8210/07/82UK) Ford 7700 (11/76/GB.30/IRL.2.5m) i do have a question about the coding, maybe one of the Ford front know this? when Ford took over New Holland and was turned into Ford-New Holland (1988) up to 1993 there are no date codes on the brochures as far as i can find.. however the brochures end with 3 / 32 / 321 which i always thought was a new print of the same brochure, or is this in fact a way to see what year these were printed?
  11. do you mean the Italian restaurant? the food was good the few times we have been there.. breakfast on sundays around 9ish and in the evenings it was full all the times we have been there... (3 times so far) and yes, there still seem to be a few rooms available, but at 60 pounds it seems more expensive then other years... so guess there are only a few left
  12. yep Mike, it is the only place to go , best thing is, the pub is on walking distance from the hotel, and also the show is on walking distance, as well as a shopping centre for the other half just booked (finally)
  13. welcome! you'll like it here... we are all likeminded (although some are just plain crazy ) and friendly, enjoy yourself on here and dont be afraid to ask questions or post pictures of your collection and other endeavours farming related
  14. really wonderful displays Sue! there is soo much detail , i had to check out the pictures twice as i missed a few things... love the hen house!
  15. the NH and Case are quite modern compared to most of your models Erik , i have the 9000 on order as well, should arrive in about 3-4 weeks
  16. found the email! sended a reply to the info@mm-auctions.com , i'll take it, that it ends up with you then? cheers!
  17. I take it i can contact you, Andy, for collection and payment of models won at the auction?
  18. welcome to the forum! It is nice to see some different (to 1:32) scale models on here. Have quite a few myself so will be checking your collection out for sure as i am particularly interested in the machines section of your collection. enjoy the forum and it's weirdos!
  19. <--- Ford crazy...and crazy in general according to some folks my skills regretfully are not into the customizing part of this hobby... but i am the chap of the County collection you mad(k)e a piece of for TTT ...
  20. i won't stop you there! think i speak for many members on here that these topics are a real contribution to the forum as a whole and are thoroughly enjoyable!
  21. another fantastic topic ! thank you David "click click" for sharing your impressive picture collection on here. Regretfully i have not yet seen any Doe's in real life... :'( have quite a few versions in modelform though... keep on sharing please.. these pictorial topics are definately favorites of mine!
  22. Old? :'( , here i was thinking i was still youthfull compared to some other folks on here (you can fill in that part, i would guess ) Daft.... : i am clearly tooooooo much on here and it seems to rub off... , now i do sometimes meet up with these "gents" that live on that small rock in the north sea and i also ended up fairly often in the land of Pizzahut, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy's & Subway to name a few american nation based food establishments... Which is why I can say as an outsider that the "soapfishtication" level is pretty much the same.. the English must be yanks with a slight difference in pronounciation of most words and such.. the intelligence level... ehhh , i'll leave that up to you to judge maybe you should sweep up that sand, send it over to Marky, Sean and company so they can built a road to connect england to mainland europe.. then we might be able to soapfishticate them a tad bit more
  23. plenty of Bi-directionals around. Think the 256 (or rather the 276's have proven themselves over a loooonnnggg time, but minimal hours would definately be a plus concerning wear and tear...) 9030 and their follow ups (NH TV-series) seem to do pretty well when it comes to sales in North America, but cant say much out of experience as these series were not sold in Europe as far as i know. i also dont know how expensive the TV140/145/150's are, but they seem sturdier built with more hp to boot, and more up-to-date to the simple machines the bidirectionals first were... Then again, the older machines are probably easier serviceable..
  24. Peter is still around.. changed his name in ehhhh... MPR models on here, is around not enough though! met him at the Spalding show twice i think, and also at the Zwolle show, definately a nice chap who appreciates some humor unlike ppppppppttttttwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhh I'll bet Sean will be thrilled with something green in his collection, bet his face will turn red like the rest of his collection hmm.. know quite a few Dutch green lovers, but i can think of only one who might have done that "Ziko" ? there is also Ronnie or Johnny? who are fine peops that know how to customize models... good to see you still being as.... (ohhh wait, not allowed anymore to say random...) "normal" as you can expect. Must be all the heat and sand cooking your brains *
