We made it back home to New York state from vacation in Virginia Beach. My Aunt, Uncle, and cousins did not have such good luck. The fuel pump in their truck went and they have to get a tow truck to haul them back to New York. I think they had about 5-6 hours of driving time left. On the plus side we made great time, we left the beach at three in the morning and made it home by noon.
I cant wait, should be about 5-6 more weeks for us in the states, im on vacation right now but when we left it there was snow on the ground so ill be surprised to see how much tillage even got done.
Welcome to the forum Justin, it is good to see a fellow American on here.
Simon, thats too funny. If that picture someone posted over in the spalding topic is really Rick then I can see him fitting the "boss hogg" look. :D
Riding in the truck all day. We are off to the great state of Virginia, were heading to Virginia Beach to be exact. I'm not looking forward to the ride but its worth it.
College, professors have to give you all the work at one time and of course it is all due while I am on vacation. If i didn't have loans out right now id be quiting and focusing on my business.
The plan was to plow, we did get a little done but then the snow came last week and we havent been in the feilds since. Im on vacation this week and next so good luck to the rest of the crew.
Looks great, I can't wait for Ertl's 1/64th 4960 to come out. I'm sure it won't have a quarter of the detail you put into your but it should be a great base for a project.
Well the shop expansion is still underway. I don't think we will see too many new pieces of equipment this spring. I do forsee some new iron arriving later this summer though For the spring there is a New Holland bidirectional showing up in a few weeks. Here are a few tillage shots, unfortunately we were not able to keep going because of a snow storm
Here is a shot of the farms shop expansion. There has been some progress made since but I have been pretty busy, I am hoping to get this finished over the summer.
Thanks, it was pretty good aside from breakfast We went out for breakfast and this girl who looked younger than me walked in with a little two year old and I tell you the kid was off the walls. A trip to the John Deere dealer and some homemade cake later in the day made up for it though :D
We had a coating of snow. Covered the ground pretty good but luckily it didn't stick to the roads. Hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow. They say it is suppose to be pretty warm again.
Thanks for the comments guys
Jamie: I used a little rattle spray paint can. I forgot how expensive those little cans are I was going to do a red white and blue theme but when I got to the store for paint I decided to stick with one color.
Thanks Tris, I dug in a little deep on one end of the cab but a little JB-weld filled it in nice.
