  1. Brave! you're going to need two of them as well! Is this model for a competition where you have to scratchbuild? I built a steering county axle once, only because I couldn't make one like it from anything else...would never bother again I don't know if a convential 4WD axle would be easier
  2. Ah yes, I wasn't too clear...I meant they were the almost same as in that was how far I got before getting stuck If I approached it now, what I'd do is fit the axles, build the rear fenders as they should be and then work on the angular form between them and cab
  3. I take years I did the same thing almost...made the chassis, fitted a britains MF 3680 bonnet, Ros 3070 cab and tried to modify Britains MF3680 rear mud guards for the rear..my downfall was I based it on a two MB trac chassis front ends (4 wheel steer) but of course that type of steering required too much clearance..one day I'll go back and either lock the rear axle or fit some TSA or TN axles I think I could make it now, but I never get round to these things.
  4. Haha, I feel like that looking at everyone else's photographs! But then i did this before there even was a competition and I'd do it after
  5. I did wonder what that was about...modern claas combines aren't that common around here (yet)
  6. That has got to be worthy of a crash car into hedge..jump out with camera moment surely?
  7. Beautiful photographs as always, the low angle combine shot should be your trademark, brave getting down there with the dust, you must clean the lense often
  8. A few more; Really happy with this one...three photographs joined together...but I stupidly saved over the original size left hand end one Last one for now...may be the last of the Lexion...have a feeling different machines will be in the area soon
  9. Now for some that I am really happy with; Coming over the hill Same John Deere, again the only tractor carting. Combine had to stop every now and again for him to catch up Love this one because you can see the shape of the auger in the grain
  10. More of the Lexion...still pretty clean Bit arty should have been of the crop I suppose but this is the field that had quite a bit of greenery in it
  11. MF 30*0 transporting bales in a silage trailer Numerous JDs helping with fruit picking
  12. More brand new machinery; a JD 6530. I missed the baler, it was an older JD 6000 on a Claas single axle jobbie
  13. Great pictures, some very dramatic weather and scenery in there, a nice mix. I worry about trespass as well, I try to find fields with rights of ways across them, never had any problem in other places though, I think as long as you don't abuse the land or get into a posistion where you could be placing yourself in harms way (today for example; watching a combine, I can obviously see him, but can he see me through the dust?) not a lot of people have a problem.
  14. No problem; http://www.puddingsworld.com/Other_stuff/Valtrac_4120-4140/valtrac_4120_4140.htm I wish you good luck with this
  15. Ah, a Valtrac! I started one of these on a MB trac chassis...got to rear mudguards..gave up Have you seen the brochure for these, I think I can find it online if you haven't?
  16. Guys, don't let this deteriorate into a slanging match, only the person with the rights from Redrock has the right to sell these but anyone can build anything they see day to day for their own use. As for it being a case of new ideas, i think everyone here kind of thinks in the same circles, if everyone could produce models then every single implement would exist by now many times over.
  17. It is a local farmer's machine so in many ways I wouldn't be surprised if it was.....the other thing is this may well be it's first time out for a while, one field on his farm got cut 2 weeks back, since then it has been a bit wet and this combine has stood in the shed (I was surprised at this as other machines locally have been out)
  18. good to see that like classic diecast cars, people want classic tractors...more of this please!
  19. Yeah, the third one works really well, everything disappears off nicely
  20. Again, only one tractor carting - a 6800? with a Western - The photography gods were really trying to stop this one being taken big cloud came over and things got very dusty
  21. Thanks James More from today, finally saw the Lexion 450 at a time when I could photograph it, until the arrival of the CX this was the most modern machine around here;
  22. keeping the paddocks under control, there is also another one locally with no cab but a white roll bar, very similar to the britains model This one makes the beacon look massive
  23. Might have some compaction issues in that field lovely pics
  24. Changed title, thought I'd post up all images in one thread, saves having lots of little ones New Holland TM150 and New Holland BB940 - looks a good combination I can see RDF's problem with all the hedges (I love them though) can't get near so have to use the zoom
