  1. Oh that was you who bid 50 in the closing seconds, and I thought I had a chance with 34!
  2. Did you make the veg boxes yourself Lord, they look the same size as the plastic Britains ones?
  3. Original or conversion?: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330307875820&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=014
  4. Agree with you there, that Fraser version is superb. I'll see if the MF 362/ little Ford tyres fit, but Siku looks the best bet so far.
  5. Mechanism not vital here as I'm messing with a powerfarm driven one
  6. Near enough, I think he got them from a friction car set. Looked to me at first glance like 362 tyres, but on closer inspection they lacked the detailing. The size and shape are just about right tho.
  7. Jez, FM and Towse look like a good source. Ribbed tractor tyres is what i''m after though, so I might take another look at that Fraser conversion of yours! Also, something like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320323610341&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011 Thanks for the ideas
  8. I'm looking for larger grooved tyres for a Britains rotorspreader. I tried to combine Ford 5610/tw20 centres with 90-90 fronts, which worked, but wobble when fitted to the spreader. Ideally the centre holes would be the same diameter as the original impliment centres. Size-wise, slightly smaller than the Fiat's, but perhaps larger & wider than Unimog/vintage spreader would look like those I used to see on Marshall spreaders. MF 362 rears look about right but are they smaller than 90-90 fronts? I'm new to conversions so don't know all of what fits what, maybe siku tyres would be a better bet?
  9. Some more big MF's near my house: 7495 & 6680 both with KV 6-furrow ploughs, plus a slightly older, smaller massey with a 4f plough, but it was getting too dark to see clearly. I might have been mistaken but it looked like the one with the 4f plough was breaking up the ground for the other two, as it only seemed to scrape the surface. The field is only 32-35 acres. There was the occassional klang followed by a brief stoppage to adjust, but it looked to me like nicely coordinated side-by-side work.
  10. careful doing that, remember what happened to Rod Hull! :'(
  11. It's about time the uk got a professional site like this I've given up on ordering from the continent what with the pound so low. Lovely photographs too
  12. Though looking through the archives, only four years ago they were making as little as £33! We just need a glut of them at once.
  13. MF 2680, 1984 version with the cab decal, though the cab itself looks like a reproduction one
  14. Thanks for the suggestion. I couldn't find any particular examples, but it's something to go on -thanks.
  15. Can anyone identify what make this barn is?: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220342075099&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=012 Thanks
  16. Ford 7810 with hedge cutter; battered Ford 5610 with logging trailer (natch)
  17. Or did someone drill a neat hole in the top of the gearbox? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250334910733&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=015
  18. JD 3800 telehandler & Bobcat mini excavator.
  19. How far do you usually have to travel to get to Toyfairs tractorbob?
  20. i like the second photo, the shadows and outlines sort of add to the realism
  21. Same here. I can't pinpoint when exactly all the models started going downhill as they were still making great models alongside the cr@p ones in the late 90s-mid 00s, and old 'favourites'* get re-released occasionly, but in terms of craftsmanship the new generation seems lacking. *presumably models that sold well? CMB
  22. What if the farmer you live near doesn't replenish his stock or just buys the same make of tractor year in year out, does that still count? "I saw Bob on his 990 again today" etc?
  23. Spellcheck is only for the pedants eh?
