The final pieces of the puzzle turned up yesterday,.....of which two were the wrong size.... Things have altered a bit over the last day or two...............

What should we do with this gap.... Tried this beast around the yards,.....won't be getting one,...bloody good for doing the gutter cleaning though.. The roof colour... More tomorrow,...roof should be on and some side cladding.

She's lookin' better by the day,....just got in,...gonna have a scrub and a bite then put up a couple more pics.The roofers have been and gone today,more about that later. Some quite amazing cloud formations down here this afternoon,...the best being this one which stretched north as far as you could see.... Sculpting finished one side,....just need a bit of decent topsoil to spread on it.... Todays effort,will get one more load friday.We wanted one tomorrow and three friday but they are flat out with other orders tomorrow and working a half day friday for a long bank holiday weekend. Just finished putting a bit of scaffolding up,...ready for tomorrows next lift.... This corner of the paddock that remains is the lowest part which always floods in a downpour,....a few bricks and a narrow grate on the top should put a stop to it...... View from the farm gate....

You've gone to all that trouble Lee,....it looks fantastic,....I wouldn't say no back window at all but cut it in half and fold it up like the real thing and that would make it 100% spot-on.....

More progress,....18 loads down,......another 10 or so left..... Wont be much left after 4 more tomorrow in the shed,.....the last time this strip of hardcore will ever see daylight..... Fan house a bit taller now 360 more blocks have arrived.... Done a bit of sculpting the other evening ,...... Pulled the rest of the bank off this evening but the batteries went on the camera.Will put a picture up tomorrow. Getting ready to do battle on the apron Friday... Scaffolding goes up tomorrow and possibly the roof at the end of the week....

.............5 bloody thirty Graham,.......and not long after you left we were given a small soaking then drizzle. I will put some more pictures up tomorrow. Dont know what the finish will be like on that load as it has hardly gone off at all,....will go and have a look at it again in a bit.....

5 more loads of concrete,.........listening to the barn "singing" in the wind,...(by god,its been blowing a good 'un down here today),....had a visit from Graham and gave him a tour of the farm and showed him a proper milking parlour... ;)

Its been fun getting the readymix lorries in Graham. Everyone is getting some good priced top notch loads of planings from that road,.....we've got our one grand mountain of the stuff... ;)

Half done in the building.. The fan house starting to grow... The offending trowels,...notice how close to falling off the rest were... the new ones,...totally different shape !!...... Another twelve loads next week,..mon, wed,fri,.....will give us a chance to get some blockwork up and start on the apron at the front of the building.

On a warm sunny day, maybe two hours after ,as long as you can walk on it without leaving a print,hit it once to "rough" it up a bit and then go away for an hour or so and leave it. Then hit it hard and keep going until it turns a darker grey and "shines" but only give it the absolute minimum amount of water if needed. On a dull cool drizzly day like yesterday we had to wait ages,..it just wouldn't go off Had an extremely late night last night,....the bloody powerfloat "shed" two trowels. I nearly pi$$ed myself laughing at my nephew trying to control it,........definitely dont reccomend that experience to anyone. Time the chap from the hire company got to us with a new set of trowels it had gone off too much so we had to handfloat finish the last two loads. Will put some more photos up tomorrow after load number twelve.

What cats,........what rats......... : The first load is in by 9am and the fourth by 12.30 and because we are powerfloating it,there is always someone about well into late evening. Today we have floated the first two loads and are at this moment waiting for the last two loads to go off enough to get the float on. I think it will be a very late night or early morning.
