Blimey Rick.... :of ,....couldn't believe what I was reading.Wishing you a speedy and full recovery... :) . As for what annoyed me today,...it was the bloody cra**y potal system which delivered me (via special delivery) a bomb proof looking package from across the water containing a forager broken in three places. You COULD NOT FAULT the packing at all,....it just goes to show how bloody rough these parcels get treated in the system..... >

Had a job to keep up with the Dommy98 when we were cutting away from the farm Mark ......... I suppose we will have to build another corn store closer to home................... ;) . Didn't go in the cab Gav,....was checking everything outside and left that part to the "driver". One thing that wasn't working was the yield monitor and its pretty expensive to put right, so the experts tell us. Overall it was a very well maintained machine and the only problem with it was a huge lump in one of the front tyres,...which will be sorted. It's even got a reversing camera,.....so I will not be able to pick my nose any more while following the combine...........

Sounds very similar to the "AP" cabs on the Fords Mark,...especially the "forehead smasher"............ :'(

Had dinner a while ago,...looked at a tired looking Cerin and asked him if he was tired,...."no I'm not " was the reply. Had a shower and a chat and a couple of beers, came back to have a look on here and there he is fast asleep in my armchair. Bless him,....must be the Sussex air....... ,......Oh,..please ignore the date...

Had a phone call a while back from the local JCB rep offering 1 of 8 places for a full day tour of the JCB farm(s) and factory. I have done the factory tour twice,..the last time was 6 years ago, but never the farms. Anyway,...was gutted at the time cos I knew I had a family committment to fulfill ,so had to decline the offer. Circumstances changed at the weekend so I phoned him on the off-chance to see if the place had been taken,..............it had........ .He said that if anyone cancelled, he would let me know. Couldnt believe my luck,....he phoned back 10 mins later and said..."will be picking you up at midday tomorrow,...we've had one drop out".......... :of Anyone else on here going................. ??? Must go,....gotta charge me camera up and pack me overnight bag.........

got a crappy picture on my wet and muddy phone which just doesn't do them justice Mark. Thought we werent going to see any after the net ripped cos the dividing net was four feet shallower than the other net. The guys who done the netting work for the E.A and said that you only get about 25% of the fish when you net a pond like this. Well worth the effort and the big one was taller than me and I reckon you could have got a football in its gob. Not a bad weight gain considering he put 6 of them in there 6 years ago and the biggest was just under 10lbs. Bloody ugly critters though....... :of

Delivered a bucketful of manure this morning via loadall. Then Argos,....new phone charger. Midday,....went to help a friend net one of his ponds to try and catch the catfish that have eaten all of his tench and smaller carp. Had to divide the pond into two parts with one net,....netted the smaller half and got a lot of small silver fish (rudd, roach, perch) and about 80 large carp plus one baby catfish. Done the larger part and had one hell of a netfull of fish untill we got snagged on a tree-root which tore about 5 feet of the weighted lead-line at the bottom of the net.As a result we lost most of the big fish and ended up with less than the first haul. We used the dividing net to re-try the second half and after much hauling and a couple of minor snags we hauled in a monster netfull of mixed fish among which were two huge cats and one smaller one which weighed 22lbs. The big ones were 65lbs and 48.5lbs,...........................and bloody ugly.... :of I have never seen them in real life untill today and it was well worth the effort and getting soaked for.
