Bloody great wasps nest when I uncovered a bit more of the maize clamp. Made me move a bit sharpish...... : Found the bottle of magic powder for wasps,.....will go and annoy them a bit more when the suns gone down..... ;)

I'm with Ricky on this one,......I would say that there would have been quite a fair chance this would'nt have happened if he'd come down with an EMPTY loader..... ;)

Came from a farm just the other side of Dover Sean,....they bought it from somewhere in Lincolnshire when it was one season old.

Arrived this afternoon in the pouring rain,............good or bad sign......??...... Several minor problems and one major one,....I believe we have a lodger on board,..and still on board after a 30 plus mile trip here.... Something is on board somewhere because my dog went "rat" mad as soon as she got near it...... :of

A few I forgot to post on friday of the extended beef yard next door,...early start and got the apron dug out ready for a lorryload of hardcore after lunch.... Got it ready for the last 3 loads of concrete,..two tomorrow and one wednesday... The roof and cladding were finished yesterday morning...... View from the gate now,.....wont be much changing until the end of june when the concrete has cured enouch for the panels to go up.

I'm not saying it isn't maize,....just saying theres none under plastic here. Must say that the sweetcorn is miles ahead of the maize though,....there are some pretty poor crops around here in desperate need of some water,....of which we had a bit yesterday and more showers forecast this week.

The only stuff under plastic near us is 500 acres of sweetcorn Sean. To my knowledge there is no maize grown under plastic at all in this area.

Not too sure on that one yet as our electrician doesnt reckon we have enough power for the start-up load of the two fans,...........plenty to run them but not to start them.Could be very expensive as well. Electric roller shutter doors,..same colour as the cladding..

Had an email with an interesting attachment..... I am in the new building as well talking to a rep and the chap who supplied the building.... :of

Well done Erik,.....got a quote tuesday to cantilever across to the cattle yard roof,..very reasonable price but its got to go for full planning again.Shouldnt have too much trouble as it will tidy things up no end and look rather smart when done.

Fill that,..and the yard next door,....and the small store by the parlour and sell about 400 tons at harvest,.............................................................if it bloody well rains soon.... \ \
