Cab fan motor packed up on the 8360,.......glad I was sitting down when I enquired into the price for a replacement................................£478 for a geniune NH or £295 for a sparex.. :of :of :of :of :of :of Where the hell do these prices come from........... ??? And to top it all off,..the bearings fell apart in the seat as well......... >

  6. Have got some pictures on the camera Tris but too busy (idle) to upload them at the moment. The machine was very nice even with 8000 hrs on the clock and a 2006 model, very smooth and plenty power. I have scooped out every pond that needs scooping out and we still have it here levelling and tracking in chalk from a new development in Brighton.They say that theres 20,000 cubic metres to come out of this place as the car parking will be under the building,...(the new American Express building). Apparently theres a 100 ton machine down there digging the hole..... :of
  7. Have been sat at the helm of a new holland CX8050 this afternoon,....until rain stopped play....... > 3 trailers carting a quarter of a mile and they couldnt keep up with the NH and Claas Dommy 98............... ;D

  12. Well,.........after lifting 85 acres we got the grand total of 28 loads. Some of the most expensive silage we have ever made. At least it is in the shed now and if the sun keeps shining it will be back out in a month's time.........
  13. Just like 1976 but not quite so hot.......... Everything,.......apart from the maize,.....is starting to die off now. Will be lifting second cut tomorrow,....been rowing three into one today straight behind the mower to try and conserve a bit of the moisture in the grass. We may be lucky and get a load to the acre but I reckon it will be a lot less.

  19. Replacing old wooden trusses in our workshop that almost gave up with the weight of snow earlier this year. Done two today,...the new ones are made with C24, 9"X3" at a cost of £7.80 per metre (tanalised).If we wanted 9"X4" the cost shot up to nearly £15 per metre.... :of ,.......stress graded timber,......they make you pay for the wastage.. I now know what its like to be shut inside a slow cooker,......christ that was hot up in that roof under the asbestos........
