  1. you really don't need to turn the axle around mate as the tractor front axle was designed to be either further forward or turned to be pulled back, depending on what the tractor was to be used for
  2. now thats another strange one you have there rob as i bought a landini for the kids years ago & it had the all silver cab ?, ROS certainly changed in quality since those tractors were produced haven't they
  3. i think she may be too busy opening hospitals mate , don't think she'd have time to open the boxes as well \
  4. hello DB1410 thought you may like to see the whitney farm line up of 2003 , the last year i had the farm from left to right 1494 4wd & QD loader 1490 4wd & HD loader 1594 4wd & HD loader 1690 DB / case 2wd, with a 40K box
  5. in that case in the box they'll stay , thanks for that
  6. i have mixed thoughts on this tractor despite what i've already said in another post, these tractors may not be to everyones likeing BUT some of the detail has been missed, lights on the rear, stearing is an obvious issue, & 'that' hitch unit, but for those of us that can aford it we already have the original 5000 / 6600, at least this will enable some of the younger collectors to be able to own a newer version of what is a classic tractor to the rest of us . i also agree that price vs quality & detail is also an issue here, compared to a siku deutz 210 for ?12 to that of the 5000 at ?12.99 seems to sugest that siku are still ahead of the game . Indeed after all the hype around this particular model it may be our response to the model that is blown out of proportion, there maybe an uproar around the country , but as andy has said before rc2/britains do read these comments from time to time & so far it's mostly negative, this could put the relationship that andy has with them in unfavourable light ,even though they know he's not responsiblefor our opinions. Andy has worked hard to get us the 6600 we have for the ftf tractor for which we are very gratefull for the work he's put in so from here on in i think constructive critisism only is whats needed .
  7. which is a 4wd now isn't it ?
  8. :o got to get that pic posted :)
  9. nice pics john & yer darn right , the 6.05 really was a pocket rocket really nice power to weight distribution , basic by todays standards , but still a lovely drive still prefered the 6.30 though
  10. have you found the golden goose yet DB1410 ? the 1694 'com - ed' must be about somewhere & what about a 1694 case - ih 4wd , seeing as only 331 were built they must surely be treated as a rareity ? like seeing the DB's & the later dirivitives , very well built tractors & very well engineared, quite underestimated when compared to makes of similar hp, but always gave as good as it got , i'm a massey fan , but when i took on the farm i knew what i wanted & the case 1494 was top of my list !
  11. a very underestimated tractor , good classic along with the 1412
