  1. don't know why sean, but all the 698T's i've seen & used were on 36in rears & 698 & 699 on 38in rears
  2. looks a very promising tractor sean , but i do agree with the wheels , not keem on the ertl style tread pattern , looks cheap ,which is fine if you want her running on stomills. i personaly think the lady deserves better , deutz K110, MF 5455, maybe even 6290 ? 699 was the tractor of the day , worth kitting her out properly mate

  5. it does make you wonder how long these little machines lasted before it was superseded by the next best thing ,. back then it was all new & fandangled , now items are out of date before they hit production lines . would have been good to hear comments from workers of the day as chap goes off to get his horse , grumbling,* trecters whas wan a trecter fer ? ah they'm nevr goina take aff* :D
  6. had a good day yesterday & saw lots & lots farm 1, mf 35 scrapeing yards & 590 on a keenan diet feeder farm 2 ,MF 420 4wd scrapeing yards , cat ? loading an econ spreader hauled by an MF 6480 farm 3, MF 8130 & joskin 16000 ltr tanker, MF8150 & buning 14000 ltr tanker, both supplying slurry to a terragator fitted with a 6 mtr shallow tine injector farm 3 still ,NH td ? scrapeing yards , TSa 135 & quickie loader , TM 155 & west spreader& TSa 135 & west spreader there was also a new big 84 series massey with the new grill front ploughing in a field too far for me to get to with the camera phone

  8. so when are you going to open a museum then marky ? how cool would it be if you could have the brochure & then trackdown the actual machine to go with it there must be hundreds of these oddities around the country, just forgotten in a corner or left to rot in the brambles

  14. absolute class john :) bet bit about it for you is that we have the models & dream about driving them , at least you have that & the real thing to play with !
  15. as per usual steve some cracking kit on the table mate :) as for the 595 chassis for a 185 the britains 595 is more in keeping with 590 measurements , & the 590 & 185 was basicaly the same tractor all bar tinwork & cab , just get rid of the fuel tanks & you've got yer 185 chassis :)
  16. we don't mate we just want to see if anything other than an mtx cab could be used seriously if you got grahams ideas to work you've cracked it ! don't get me wrong PDC's JD is good but even he'd admit the cab isn't right this is the forum at it best !

  18. looking good steve , (still not keen on the red wheel centers ) is that 135 bonnet an original or a repo , as the sides look a bit deep , ideal for a 165 ? 185 ? :)
