    At work with Gav

took a while to catch up , but glad i did , good to see you're still busy gav & with all this new stuff coming & going quite a lot of head scratching to work out the better machine you need. i dare say you've yet to find the ideal tractor , but i suspect you'd like the option of the claas even though the fendt sounds like it's ticking all the right boxes bar the one by the £ sign i think i'm now classed as old school as i havent got a clue what half those LCD screens would be used for & i don't understand half the things you're talking about i used to get myself into a flap using the 'new' fandangled datatronic on the old massey 3000's i remember the most important things we used to look for in a tractors performance was wheelslip monitoring, fuel consumption , price & maybe cab comfort . where did the time go ah looking at all the young'uns post here just go for the one with the best sound system , you'll be sorted yer keep her lit lad * keep het lit ? ............did i really just say that ?............. bugger just made myself sound a right knob ........ knob ? or nob ? what ?*
  4. grin was so big the top of me head was in danger of falling off john ;D had a hand from the landlegend for loading mate
  5. nah looking at the 35 again , got to leave it as it is mate , far too good to be messed with just keep her covered in polish/oil nice picture
  6. nice pictures paul :) doesn't it feel strange that you're taking pictures of tractors on holiday that can be found near to where you live anyway ? :of when i'm out & about i have these urges to take more pictures of tractors i've already photographed , quite strange is that the big dealers on the left as you head to haverfordwest before the roundabout
  7. i wanted to go to the local ploughing match but me cars in for MOT & i got an absolute stinker of a cold & the aches to go with it so i'm not walking round like something out of the living dead taking pictures today
  8. oooooooooooooo whoa thats a bit ..........er................. green isn't it what happend to the dark red / grey colour scheme ? can't take anything away from the build though , top job mate :)
  9. tried that a couple of years ago , but was told ' i can't keep lending my machinery out '
  10. thanks for that tim , leave the tractor there ? you havent knackered yours again have you ? ;D ahh will be taking it back as may well start doing bit's n peices to it
  11. too right it is mark , but just like when you drive mavis for no particular reason at all , you just can't help but smile , & it's probably a bigger smile than when you drive the 54
  12. ;D don't think i didn't try mate basicly i had two obstinate obstructions namely gerald & anthony ;D
  13. well this is the crux of the problem sean , yes it would be nice to have our own spreader , but cant really justify the cost for a machine that would only get used for one afternoon per year. too funny ;D ;D ;D ;D
  14. when are who two going to buy a small old spreader of who's own ?
  15. blimey that is back in the mists of time
  16. too right mate , the spreader would be a real canundrum for some enthusiasts sean , like kevs now markys 35 it's all complete bar a few bits & would be the ideal candidate for restoration , but on the other hand it's so genuinely authentic , right down to the W SPARROW, agricultual engineers transfer that is still just readable & that would be awfully hard to recreate got to remember most of these spreaders have long gone
  17. nice pic tim , i bet father was taking bets as to which broke first the forager or the 595 ! i bet he used a lot of swear words back then as well , is that at north bradon
  18. well it is considering you're one of the very few people who've actually seen it out of the shed ! ;D
  19. siromer ? thats a LandLegend that is
  20. well thanks to tractortimmeyounglads loan of a rather splendid original condition MF 712 manure spreader i have (albeit a couple of months later than planned) done this years dung spreading at the croft ! have got a vid but is currently uploading , will post the link soon as .........

  24. bill it's a nice motor to drive & contrary to belief , they dont feel that big once yer driving them , it's not till an XF or a FH come alongside you 'feel' the difference , i think the cab suspension can be set to how you want it , i didn't find the roll too badd on this one & yes it has a flat floor but the merc a few pages back also had one
