  6. this little fella was hidden under 11-12 years worth of brambles? & thats why i clipped it with the hedge trimmer? \ after poking around with a staff hook & a bit more carefull trimming ,i found the owner & offered ?100 for it he wanted ?400 but i got it for ?200 providing it went on the following week end . only got 2 pics of it . Pic 1 back at braggs yard siezed & dirty but in surprisingly good condition? thanks to the ammount of bramble cover , it was stripped of it's cab ,head off, diesel in the bores & cranked over with a 3/4 drive socket each night for a week with a little carefull rubbing with wet & dry at the cylinder tops? ,head replaced ,oil change ,battery on,? fuel in? & up she fired first time on the key :o :o Pic 2 steamed cleaned ready for sale bought for ?200 spent about 7 hrs & ?35 in total & sold her for ?500 the following weekend
  7. why all the fuss about finding something to make them look dirty? ? the best thing for that is do what i did ,get a small ammount of dirt & make them dirty? :) the waxed ones look ok but they're all the same as the un-waxed ones , but darker ,by applying different pressures each box looks different :)
  8. i used it for a couple of months taking feed out to the sheep i had & moving them around in a little stock trailer , then sold it in a farm sale for ?700 spent the money on a David Brown red 990 that i found / caught in a hedge while hedge trimming ?\
  9. only paint i had was howard rotovator orange & ford tractor white? \
  10. once all the crap had been ground off & the big end shells were replaced , an ejector holder bracket was scrounged from an old fiat dealer? it was dragged around the yard 15-16 times till it fired up .then off down to a freinds workshop for lots of welding & beating & a respray
  11. talking about what hidden treasures can be found in old tumble down farms , well i once made a joke to the farmer that i'd take it off his hands for ?20 & he said "alright then !" i spent the next couple of days looking for & finding the wheels, bonnet ,front cowl, roof, doors, windows then was towed home by a MF 590 using a 2680 drawbar !
  12. :D sorry TM ,but nobody rescues a 135 anymore if only it was that easy you have to pay through the nose for them nowadays \ I'll post a few pics of the uni 's progress if your interested from scrap to working order
  13. it's also getting harder to find some of these little tumbledown yards that still have ye oldie worlde machinery in them. the last time i went into one of these places i ended up with a universal 445 2wd for ?20
  14. is that NH2's new beer trolley belarus :D :D as for the sheds it is a shame to see them as housing but at least it's still there . I have great joy in pointing out to my kids refubished sheds & telling them thet i used to milk cows there , or stack bales in there . Dillington estate has just refurbished Park Farm & is now called Eagle wood park but the whole thing is where i used to do all these things & it's good to be able to tell others how & what the old mill, trailer shed ,tractor shed ,cow stalls ,used to be like when they were regularly in use when it was still a farm.
  15. blimey next time i log on i'll have to get past the parental guidance filters :D

  19. there's no option for toy shop unless i click it into 'others' \
  20. i know this will sound strange ,but that 2720 looks a lot bigger than the 2680 even though it just a decal change, can't wait for my decals to come
  21. it's all very good, I may have to take a pilgrimage down to see it all when it's all put together & finished any one coming along for the ride ? where abouts in devon are you TM?
  22. have never paid more that ?15 for a tractor as they're usually around the ?8 - 13 mark but seeing DT's convos i'm very tempted . More than ?20 is too much although i may stretch to that for a 6600 at sometime, but only if i have to I'm more of an off the shelf run of the mill collector & sometimes make my own modifications
