  1. Well it was yesterday but we went up to B A Farm stores at Broomhill Lyne of Skene, Dunnecht. Very large stock of Siku, UH, Britains, Bruder and other toys. Well worth the trip got myself a UH Valtra T in blue new one, a UH Kuhn trailed mower and a Renault 836 for a conversion i have planned. They are not too bad priced either, recommend it but don't take kids unless you want a screaming match.
  2. Quite like a drop of bushmills, dont drink much anyway but a sip now and then does me.
  3. Just purchased a UH McCormick CX105 for a MF390 conversion. And a Merlo Turbofarmer P38.10 for making new attachments. Was also given a UH Fendt 818 as a two and a half month early birthday present from mate, will probably just detail it also still got my Britains Ford 5610 to start to. Waiting on my Britains lorry coming, for a conversion to eight wheeler.
  4. Does a bear poo in the woods. Got a ford 5610 lately and a britains tarmac lorry at lanark show. Just bought a spares one off ebay so maybe a ford 7810 and a eight wheeler sometime soon, got others to finnish that are on back burner
  5. Thanks for comments but its not mine to keep, thinking of getting my own to do aswell as il have another 362 axle spare. just got a ford 5610 from lanark show, so im thinking 7810?
  6. This was done for a mate, as i needed the two wheel drive axle and he was happy to get four wheel drive. MF362 front axle TW35 wheels and hubs, not a big conversion but im happy and he is happy.
  7. Here is an update so far. Linkage turned out good i think, i decided to paint the hubs red and used copper paint, to give the effect of new looking wheel studs. all other details added mirrors, beacon, lights, window wiper anyhow here's the pics so far, i need to do a open back window and need decals.
  8. Invergowrie back of Dundee , don't know of anyone else growing it not the best crop either.
  9. nice collection nice dvd collection aswell couldnt help but notice the one at top of photo :D
  10. yep they do some strange experiments there i say it lasted well considering that the front was doing most of the work the guy said that he thought they were going to get a forager in to chop it and blow it over the field but no one up this far does maize to my knowledge and they would have to have got someone up from the south and it was only six fields i think about 50acre total ish so not worth the hassle or cost they estimated two days for the whole lot but it was taking two days per field looked like a waste to me anyway and yes thats there own leased tractor it was funny carting off grain earlier with a 3ton bogie on they also have a MF6465tier3 two fendt 209 i think one narrow both full speck front links and pto also a MF5455 with loader a few old MF240 that ive seen maybe more
  11. was down at tractor they have MF6495 and it was cutting down maize for a carbon experiment as they said that the carbon from maize is different to other crops so easier to trace they want to find out if it benefits the soil and by how much wasn't so good for the front pto there hacking it down with a hired in potato topper then pulling on a spearhead topper it burnt out the front pto pack here's the photos
  12. quite delicate to extract my one had the rear hub covers lying in the box good model though usuall standard otherwise pity the header wasnt made to come off also you want a good old MF1200 carting of you do
  13. was at the show on sunday bit of a let down though was only there two hours if that too cramped and not alot there layout inside is poor at pen area big deere was nice but rear wings badly filled also i suspect a air conditioning prob as belt was off the little berry fergie was really well finished don't think il bother with the show for a while anyway
  14. gonna have one of those 590 we had a two tone early 4wd model it had the reflectors on the bars at the back about time we got some old school models the valtra ones look good too
  15. traded in MF7256 combine that was on loan to customer to help him out burning badly a few fields away from yard at netherbow farm she was well alight
  16. yeah the one on the baler is a bit tidier its grewar of dronleys old one there both 32/32 gearboxes not been converted to 16 speed like most
  17. yep recognise that tractor was out at it on thursday as he was having trouble with oil flow traced it to be the front fan hyd motor taking too much oil rear fan 25litre per min front was needing 70/75 litre per min hyds are only 110litres on tractor so he had to get out sellars to sort the motor or replace it think he has now gone for a mf6499 with 150lpm hyds as you now get this option on the big ones thats a fair drill when on the tractor
  18. two of ron keiths fendts one with mf2190/hesston baler one with old style mf/hesston baler
  19. yep about two miles from ovenstone off the dual carrigeway at gateside head for kirkbuddo through whigstreet get to crossroads turn right for dundee down this road you come to a small set of crossroads left towards skichen is gibsonhall where my grand father is and up through the crossroads on the bad s bend is north downiemuir but its only got downiemuir on the wall thats the easiest way to get in the area plenty other ways if you know the area
  20. now i aint gonna slate this one but alot of people i know dont like the mf590 4wd the french built one with the clumsy axle but we had one and it was multipower cracker of a tractor the only one i didnt see a point in was the 398 i think from memory it was only 3 more hp than a 390t and if you tweaked the 390t they were loads better as the 398 was a different engine i think most dynoed better than the 398 anyway
  21. thanks and yeah its weird how you find soft spots you never used to have in the fields forgot to post we ripped the valve off the back wheel of the combine in the mud pulling it out the second time
  22. that would have been a dream fleet for alot of folk mf390t is a cracker we wanted to get one but prices now and back then show how good they are so we opted for more able tractors mf3080 as they lift more and you dont work them as hard most of the time are the 4225 4245 power shuttle or manual shuttle tractors
