My MF 2805 project(UPDATE)
Deano MFmad replied to caseih1056's topic in Latest Tractor Conversions & Scratch Builds
very nice great pair of models remember the late ewan rugg having a 2805 for tractor pulling in the farmers class multipower pedal on the floor good old v8 rumble -
nice we have a 698 at home goes quite quick too not as fast as that though wonder if the diff has been done at some point as the gearing may be messed up allowing you the faster speed is the floor ok at the doors under the mat and rear cab mountings at axle are well known rot points but you probably already know this is it a multipower or a spliter box
-
we usually get this happening in area just waiting on which contractor does it first Forfar/Kirriemuir flyover or Forfar/Glamis underpass roundabouts seem the favourite area around hear think the plod don't let them away too easily either up here
-
tidy yoke see there taking advantage of the small weather windows to get stuff done
-
not seeing Derek Greenhills new holland combine stuck down to the cab today boss said you could walk out of the cab and take a small step down onto the ground :D they had the diggers in and Newtyle commercials wrecker in to pull it out told him to go get photos but when he eventually went back with camera they almost had it out

Whats on your workbench???
Deano MFmad replied to MODELFARMER's topic in Other Conversions & Scratch Builds
looks good really liking that I've still got to finnish my MF399 a set of openers and fertbox attachment MF8280 tractor puller this is my first own tractor conversion still not finished keep changing spec chassis until I'm happy just got some alloy mesh from halfords so i need to build something else using it don't have a workbench use the computer desk at moment so everything gets put away every time its out i also have creative block at the moment (overtime) :D and find it hard to get motivated when i get home -
i totaly agree some people still buy bog standard tractors though driving a old mf3080 is way more pleasant than driving any mf 6400/7400/5400 basic spec machine they just feel harsh when on the road but they are easier to get to certain parts quicker when repairing
-
nice pictures we've got a guy not too far from the depot that puts a 5 furrow Gregoire besson plough on a MF6499 tractor looks daft but saying that so are some of the hills he has to plough no pictures to prove though
-
i asked the boss today and MF 5455 basic spec just over £55000 recommended retail price minus roughly he said 20 to 25% discount will give you a rough idea this is for a no frills stockman special as you would say compared to £910000+ for a basic MF6490 seems expensive but once you work through the options and discount minus trade in theres a massive amount removed i don't understand why ???and didn't want to ask probably a long story

Lemken 3m drill
Deano MFmad replied to Mickheff89's topic in Latest Implement Conversions & Scratch Builds
very tidy wish they would make some more of this size stuff but that would stop us lot hacking them up -
this is basically a repaneled cerea combine as they are eventually bringing out a new model in the next few years it has the tier three engines and was restyled to carry on untill the replacement is ready the rotary isnt powerfull enough for the uk crops as we get a higher yielding crop so they said at massey it needs another 150hp so they think i havent seen one working so this is only information im passing on did speak to a guy that drove it and he knocked a trailer over with the volume of grain coming out of the spout as it puts out something like 128 litres per second of grain i think i know it has the highest discharge rate

the quality of the net varies among brands aswell this can also cause burst bales snagging and certain brands work better with certain balers
