  1. very nice great standard of work and detail keep them coming
  2. was going to use use a class celtis chassis to build a 390 but after a good look and a few comments from guys on here have decided to have a go at a 399 as its longer i think it looks ok for length ive extended a britains 362 bonnet and made it bulkier with a styrene wrap 1mm thick also added the same to the grill modified the rear wheels to look right the square shape as fitted to 300 range but cant do the front dont know whether to change them for the mcormick fronts and swap tyres or not have a look at pics see what you guys think any sugestions or tips welcome the straight on photo looks odd as the weight is actually slightly squint not the bonnet
  3. ah you may have me on that but we have sold quite a few of 6475 and 6480 tier two style dyna6 but i cant remember any 6490 so possibly its a prototype but the more i think of it i actually cant recall any with the heavy back end 6485 upwards having dyna 6 until tier 3 um thinking now
  4. i think ebay is going away from the basis on which it started really and its getting expensive aswell not so many bargains now and postage is always expensive so you end up paying too much anyway think it needs to come down a peg or two

  8. thanks for that only prob is dont have a car at moment so getting to and from these places is a pain
  9. not sure on price was thinking of making a few but want to use mesh havent got any yet green one is out of my britains yardscraper/buckrake set 9561 theres a 6.95 stamped inside side flap of box but i bought this as a teenager and im almost thirty so cant remember price but its going nowhere as you could probably guess will try to get mesh and will get back to you once i think of a price not good at pricing these things up pm me if you would want it with or without mountings for front linkage like this one or would you fit it to something else
  10. could some one tell me if the standard hitch from a uh tractor fits on the same screw mounts as the continental hitch like i have on this as im planning a MF 390 build i havent ripped the wheels off yet and dont want to if its a pain as will use other chassis would like to use this chassis though as its got chunky tyres and isnt too big in relation to the britains 362 so looks about right in my eyes have seen one on farm models.net but it only shows his 390 on mccormick chassis but hes done a 398 and theres a 390 in the combine harvest dioramma on this chassis i think going by the photos any help appreciated
  11. hope to get down again myself was there last year agree that it could be better laid out though if the pens were taken down would be nice to see some more model displays as the people who attended last year put on good displays

  13. ive suffered this aswell put it down to primer and paint not reacting well when together as i mostly use in a warm area have heated paint tins before to help but anything with silicone or oil based sprays tend to hang around for a while and wreck paint jobs big style wd40 force powerspay chain lube etc also had this occuring when sanding down and using old coat as base for top coat
  14. nice photos some nice machines there good to see a old combine still earning its keep and looking in real good condition
  15. heard these working away today while in workshop got these pictures at lunch time there was five but one was over the other end of the field getting filled up with diesel or being repaired john deere carting off but didnt get the model as marston hi tip bogie two old tippers carting to the factory in dundee i think they lifted the field in a strange way ended up doing little bits here and there all over till the field was done its bill bruces viners but i thought he ran all massey ferguson bought from reekie perth so im sure the john deere is hired in the name of his farm at meigle has gone clean out of my head but they were lifting at the garth farm just outside forfar at the kirriemuir side of the dual carrigeway was nice to see them going there usually in and out the fields quickly when theres five of them on the go i think health and saftey would have liked there driver swap one jumped out of the cab and left her going with his lunch and passed the other guy on the platform just outside the cab we got a great smell of fresh peas all day in the workshop wont be so nice when whats left goes foosty well enough babling heres the pics

  19. thanks for the comments lads she is a brute think there will be a few more in the future 7480 6480 maybe a set of each range you never know i had to paint the floor pan aswell the original colour was way off but the super red went on great and didnt react on the sanded down original paint wasnt too bad to figure out its amazing how much you have to cut away out of this chassis but its well worth it
  20. this is my buckrake made of styrene as its lighter on the front linkage i looked at my britains one and came up with this i didnt have any mesh so used round rod i didnt base it on a real one but i still think it turned out ok the link was a bit of trial and error and didnt work for a start but it did after a wee bit of tinkering im going to add a used effect to it by sticking on some grass looking fibres with pva and hope to get these photos on soon but here it is currently
