  1. -16 deg at my work in Oldmeldrum yesterday , worst I heard locally was -20deg in Inverurie, about 4miles from my work. Was difficult breathing properly when outside trying to thaw out frozen fuel systems :'(
  2. I've been at work today aswell, spent most of the morning clearing snow in the yard, it was just getting too deep to drive through . Staff cars and vans stuck at various points round the yard. Shut up shop early due to heavy snowfall again .
  3. Just back from helping my sister in Oldmeldrum and the car was telling me it was -10deg :of , windscreen washers all frozen (with winter screenwash in the tank) and wheel arches completely built up with hard frozen snow .
  4. Done mine now, look forward to seeing some results from this.
  5. Received mine today . Well done Imber models. The choice of attachments is second to none, need more tractors to display all the options .
  6. Great news Steve, looking forward to mine arriving :)
  7. For me it is definately time that causes the problem. Wife and young son to spend time with, large garden to look after, work and helping out friends & family in need . Sometimes just getting a few minutes here and there for modeling actually helps, as it stops me rushing the job
  8. Great pictures Bill, it was nice to have a chat again. I'm looking forward to the next one already
  9. That would be me . BigA lent me a small space on his stand to display them. Send me a pm if interested. Just got back about an hour ago, was a great day, very nice to meet some fellow forum members. As for Damian's display, well stunning just does not seem to cover it , a big thanks to him and all others for taking the time and effort to show us their work.
  10. I'll be there Bill, along with two or three friends Think we are all staying at the same lodge on Saturday night. See you there.
  11. I'll be there , really looking forward to it now. Looks like its going to be a great day out again.
  12. Very good start Sean, I agree that it would look better as an 856 or maybee even an 844. The kit you have got has the right style front axle and bolster for these models, the 885 2wd had a different axle etc. The 844 would need the side panels of the engine to go further back sloping the other way, same as the 956 acouple of post ago.
  13. As Jep said Tris, the extra length needs to be between the cab and grain tank. In a 208 you can walk between the cab and engine, in a 108 you can maybe get your hand in.
  14. Maxi and Classic were introduced towards the end of the production life of the '8 range'. Maxi had the larger grain tank, more hp, hydrostatic transmission and generally higher spec. Classic was the 'basic' model with manual trans. and smaller grain tank etc. That 108 will definately be arriving in my collection
  15. Sorry to hear that Rob, hope your wife can get over it and enjoy life again. Very good of your work to get you home to support her. Pure scum that does this sort of thing. My sister inlaw got attacked like this on holiday a couple of years back, but has now managed to get on with her life again.
  16. Pics of mine as promised. UH fendt loader on 515
  17. I'll try and post up pics of mine later tonight or tomorrow for you.
  18. Some very interesting views on dealer back up here, I think that the problems you have are dealer specific as opposed to Claas problems. I also think that Claas would not like to read some of these comments. We are open 7 days a week rain or shine and have been for the whole harvest period, we also still look after Senators aswell as Lexion 600's. Claas are still interested in the small farmer aswell, they have just launched the Avero range to cater for their needs, http://www.claas.co.uk/countries/generator/cl-pw/en/products/combines/avero/start,lang=en_UK.html As for problem machines, unfortunately there always seems to be a bad one now and again, whatever the breed.
  19. A mounted sprayer at last :) Looks like I'm going to be skint for a while yet, I'll be buying all of them
  20. Ditto, I never heard back from them either. What is wrong with these people, do they not want to sell their products??? Nice buys Tris, I would quite like to pick up a second one for converting
  21. We've had some dealings with "chips" at work Mark, all the people we have fitted them for are really pleased with them. Different torque curve and better fuel economy aswell. Question is, do you want to put the extra strain on the engine if you don't really need it. You already more than doubled the speed of the JD's on that hill with only 10 hp more, not really sure you would get much more even with another 20hp
  22. Hope to meet you there on the Sunday Rob, I might be found lingering at Andy's stall
  23. Travel lodge at Southwaite for me, BigA is also stopping there. http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/hotel_overview.php?hotel_id=200 About 10 miles north of Penrith.
  24. I'll be there again, booked my room for the Sat night. Looking forward to a good show again BigA has a stand booked aswell.
