  1. Oh blimey, even the marker on the backs of the sheep, the farmer carrying two new borns, the wonky tin cladding. .... You don't miss a trick mate, not a trick.
  2. Interesting, my friends in Denmark market seed potato's to North Africa. I think I just had one of your onions in my dinner, I must say. .. very nice it was too. Slight taste of David Brown back end oil though
  3. Nice line up of the DB's, Neils. What or where is the market for your onions? Are they sold through some sort of cooperative/trader or marketed by yourselves, exported or so on?
  4. Cheddaaaaaaaaaage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ha ha!:
  5. Looking forward to the Malvern purchases. I have not bought anything for ages so am on ebay now looking at MIB obsolete Britains. .. . We'll see!
  6. I know UH get mocked for accuracy but the detail on the Komatsu is brilliant, David! How do they compare on price with Siky and Ertl?
  7. £1100?!! I'd have bought it for that!! Blimey, what a catch. Nice old Counties in there too and the little John Deere 1120 turned out well. I do like the rugged look of that Latil forestry tractor too, looks a real mans machine does that. The 8630 indoors is worth a box of man size too I dare say, what a stunningly restored example. Nice tractor to work too, had the joy of mole ploughing with one one year. . ..Just need one in my 32nd collection now (Barry!!!). The Teagle spreader is interesting, never seen that at the shows before. Something about restored implements which always holds more worth to me than tractors as often when hitched off they were left for 11 months before being used again, done so without a grease or and oil up too!
  8. Nice updates, the Komatsu looks great hard at work and the Hardox tines on the fork are a nice touch. Combi baler is a nice model too, eye catching that is. Thanks for the updates buddy, never tire of seeing them.
  9. That'll look great in your collection of more modern Deeres, Chris. Nice collection of some very high quality models.
  10. Welcome aboard Mick, good to see you have made yourself known. I take it combines feature heavily due to the big arable farms in Essex? I read in the combine driving topic you have driven quite a few over the years so are you working on a family farm or otherwise, a contractor maybe? Look forward to seeing your combine collection... Do you have a holy grail? Mine would be a Gleaner R62 as that was my combine for the 2003 harvest trail in America. Would also like to see some NH TX series produced too from someone though as the 32 was my drive for four or five seasons and a 34 for anther two. Most manufacturers only seem to make the flagships from the ranges.
  11. Big shed, Jordan. Will you bring it to shows etc, thinking about transporting something so big..... It looks great though and by the time you have wiped out all your local supermarkets to fill it with mustard seeds the household will be sneezing forever! Look forward to seeing it progress. Make sure the I beam is to scale too else you'll get a saggy roof, it is a big span to cover.
  12. Really? That's it then, the Escort is getting Hobbit and Zia International plastered all over it!
  13. Pants! If it is the same one I saw on a lowloader parked next to me on Tuesday evening, I knew the answer too! It's a Rolland build isn't it? Looked on when I saw it so I asked "Drive" what it was. He never mentioned tracks though, Richard Larrington anything to do with that part, Mark?
  14. The farm makes a great background in those photos, Tim. Very nice buddy
  15. Wish I'd driven one of these...... Although you're glad I havn't!! Love it, John. It really is spot on. Topics like this are what this Forum is all about.
  16. Javis Scenics, Grey Ballast. Comes in fine, medium and coarse so mix it up and you get a nice realistic finish. I think Mandy now stocks similar if it isn't the same.
  17. So then "White Van Mand" when do you collect the beast and show us some piccies? Will it be sign written/vehicle wrapped? I think that affects insurance but if you do, please make sure the 'S' in Loves is not mislaid into Holly...... As per young Mr Barret :D
  18. Talking Transits, just seen a photo of the new one coming later this year....... It doesn't look the workhorse all previous Transits have looked. Much more styled toward the Vito and Volkswagen. Sounds like a suitable candidate for the job, Mandy. Good mileage too given the year. Many commercial vans of that age would have three times that on the clock!
  19. Interesting topic, I'm looking at a van to replace my superbly reliable and dirt cheap to run n escort van. Seems daft to change it really but you have to progress. I was looking at Transit Connects, for the money though I just as well look at SWB flat roof Transit. What U do quite fancy is a Transit Crew Bus but they often get wrecked! No Tranny jokes by the way Pullups!
  20. Oiiiiiii! Settle down you lot..... It's bought, so the outfit may come out for a special outing once in a while....... As for cider, Butlins didn't offer any nice apple ripples so it was Jager Grenades, Vodka and Lager.... Hic!
  21. Best wishes to the extended family and friends whom Phil sadly leaves behind. Loved to see his work, remember the earlier days here when used to post up his creations, always an easy going chap came across in his posts. A shame to see anyone with that air about them to be taken in any circumstance, none more so than this. RIP.
  22. Morning Ole, I am Wiltshire folk too. Westbury Leigh for me but Market Lavington raised. We also have dicky in Heddington, Will near Malmesbury and Tommy near Chippenham to name a few mire off the top of my head. Glad you found us, if you don't regularly buy models, you soon will. It's a bug!
  23. It's one of the smalles I beam profiles with 0.2mm styrene strip for the arch bit. I pegged it all out on a board to glue in place. I think Garrett (smallclaas) used a heavy towel draped over his shed to glue it, helps keep the card curved to shape. I used string, about a dozen pieces to keep the card in place for gluing.
