  1. ya these guys like the bigger tractors, out of 6 tractors 5 of them are over 220hp, the baby of the fleet is the 5140 and thats about 125hp i think. they do a lot of maize planting and harvesting on wet peaty ground so getting stuck is common so they need all the hp they can muster. later on when the harvesting is in full swing and if the ground gets wet they put the harvester and trailers on double wheels, although this year they said at the moment its dryier then last year and they arent expecting it to rain for the next month............... something irish farms would find quite hard to believe i think that forager is a 98 mart but im not quite sure on that! they have a 01 reg harvester just bought and were hoping to use the 6850 as the back up but there has been a few delays with paper work among other things, its now ment to land in the yard on monday or tuesday a the lattest.
  2. heading down a track with rake to the next paddock, land is pretty dry around at the moment. next ones are of a maize job we started a small job yesterday, it was only 2-3 hectares so didnt take long, shud be getting busy at maize in about 2 weeks

  5. well theres always the challenge of trying to get into that really tight one which at times can be harder then picking up a bird but when you get in there and everyone else is saying feck now ill have to do it or il never live it down, however there is still a few which are virtually impossible, in these cases we find the best thing to do is send in the newest driver with the least experience ;D when he knocks it then you can just take the mick out of him telling him o that was an easy one boy what were you at how many is that now uve wrecked
  6. looking very good mike, once its finished it will be a must have for any collector

  9. its working perfect for me, i spent about an hour on there today with no problems \
  10. ud be very surprised its actually going to work out that they will be getting one very cheap tractor. despite how bad it looks most of the main parts are undamaged, the worst part is the broken casting but as i said they already have an identical casting sitting in the yard from a previous accident, it will need new windows and stuff, and 1 new computer in the back which will turn out to be some of the more expensive items. the insurance company originally sold the baler and the tractor for $10,000 but my boss missedd out on the tender, he contacted the other fella who won it and arranged a new deal for the tractor, that basically went along the lines that the first guy got a free baler

  13. yep the guys im with have bought her, we picked it up friday and its sitting in the shed already being striped down. they had a mx 270 that caught fire a couple years ago they will take the casting out of that and stick it into this one. they reckon shell be up and running again in about 3 weeks. il take a few pics of her being rebuilt and when maize starts in a few weeks ul see her pulling a trailer
  14. the only combine i have any experience of working alongside was a mf cerea 7278 so it gets my vote as the favourite......... mainly cos i dont know any better although being a mf it cant be too bad anyway
  15. thew uh hitches are alot more realistic looking then the britains hitches thats for sure, i know not all there stuff fits onto the tractors properly sometimes but they still do look more realistic, and in real life it can sometimes be a c%%t to get stuff to go on to the tractor
  16. thanks GTP, they look the business alright, did you eve rdo one with duals all round?
  17. very cool mrcus, looks realistic out, i like the grading shed especially and the boxes around the yard
  18. well it depends how much your farming in your imaginery farm, i always try to match the gear used with its workload and if anything i have a bit less gear so that the farm is kinda under a bit of pressure like in most cases on a real farm
