Good to see you are keeping busy and producing some nice shots Mart ! (where are thse trailers made ? I saw one in the Lake District last weekend)
-
First time I've been on for a while.... On the usual trip home this afternoon, i only saw an ancient JD (26**?) spreading fertiliser on a field of newly-cleared grass next to the a55 near Llangeffni, then a MF6180 & simba solo working a stubble field off the M62 near Howden If the weather is a snaff as forecast I'll put some pics up tommorrow....
-
Oh yes, a 7530 is more like it ! RAF Valley...ooops I've given the game away now, I'll have to shoot everyone !!! (hence in the "machinery seen but no photos" section I write about my 210mile journey home each Friday afternoon !)
-
now the sun is out I thought I'd see a lot more stuff on my regular journey home:- A TM140 with 4-furrow reversible going down the A55 in Anglesey, a large case with dumper trailer near Howden and a bit further along another large case ploughing. The traffic was really bad so I had a better look at the farm right next to the M62 East to M60 antclockwise junction - several white BDB/Casetractors, a coule of IH's and various other gems ! Anyone else seen that ?
-
I saw a very similar combination this week next to the A15 north of Lincoln - and motoring along pretty quickly too !
-
If I told you I'd have to shoot you !

There's a JD7930 with the mower, a JD6920 and McHale baler/wrapper and Duetz tilling. A JD6620 lifted the bales and took them away on a low-loader trailer. I know the weather has been really good this week, but they are only taking the grass up to keep the birds away. Sorry, thses were taken at the limit of my pocket camera and I haven't had chance to edit & crop them.

slopy-nose MF 4*** spreading fertiliser in a field full of sheep just off the A55 - first thing I've seen "at work" for ages !
-
2/3 SFA all weekend - come on wake up !!! (but the new lambs at Brompton-in-Sawdon taday were quite cute !)

Definitely she's an Ermintrude failing that, Gladys

Good to see you are keeping busy, Mart

Lovely shots, James, It has been dark & raining each time I've been up there. (I have squillions of pics tucked away I could bore you with some time !!!!)
-
only a NH8730 with 6-furrrow Knerveland, finishing off some headlands ... And thats about it for tonight, will be busy tommorrow, so may I wish everyone a Happy New Year !!!
-
Looks like a great display. Sorry I couldn't support you but I had to take She That Shall Be Obeyed (& outlaws) in the other direction !
-
MF3075 & marston & MF61***+shovel near the M56/M6 junction East of the A-1 all the usual suspects ploughing, cultivating, drilling and rolling - smart Class on duals all round, couple of big JD's, quite a few MF's....lets see if I can get away for some pics at the w/e (and the weather holds up !)
-
You don't see many IH B250's about...my favourite !! Highlight for me this weekend was while out running on Saturday (hence no camera) South of Beverley. A JD6920 had just had it's artic trailer loaded and was struggling to find any grip, so the JCB telehandler was behind the load pushing with its boom....and not having much joy as the ruts got deeper ! Situation was finally resolved by a 2nd JD putting a chain onto the first and slowly dragging the lot away (a good excuse to stop and catch my breath, at least !)
-
On Friday night Eadt of Goole off the M62 then beverley to York on Saturday and also around the Wolds and Moors today .....there was lots of ploughing, cultivating and drilling. Of particular note was a team of 3 large JD's and Grime potato harvesters and associated tractors & box-carrying trailers, all stopped for lunch near Kirby Grindalythe ....but no pics all w/e !!!!
-
There was snow on the tops as a left this afternoon, it looked glorious from the A55 (but not so much on the day !) I've tons more scenic shots I'll share with you some day...but not tonight !
-
and this Thursday afternoon, despite the weather (low cloud, rain, hail, 45mph winds) a few of us trekked up Snowdon !!!
-
As you may have seen from other posts, I work on Anglesey...this is popping over the fence onto the beach one evening recently..
