  1. A Case combining over the road was hidden behind a huge hedge and the next couple of fields were getting baled but too far away, but at least on the opposite side of the road some ploughing was worth watching (JD6620)
  2. On the Friday afternoon i took a liesurely drive home from work to see what was about...this MF7245 was a bit far away and I missed getting it's MF6475 tractor
  3. Remember the good weather last week ? I caught this NH CX at about 9:30pm just packing up (on my way home form Anglesey) The friendly chap with his NH T7040 said they were about 17% moisture, which must be relatively good considering the weather. I haven't had much success with night-time shots (yet)
  4. Start off with one that definitely wasn't going to make it this year (somewhere on a minor road south of Malton - don't know what or when)
  5. Nice to see you at work...in sunshine!!! with your camera. Good work Mart ! What's next for you on the farm then ?
  6. Excellent sharp pics as usual Richard and sunshine !!!
  7. Just down the road from me...I'll have to have a look out for them. Nice pics BC, great catch there !
  8. Well, it has been a busy day, starting with a couple of hours on FTF for a very welcome change...then I had to get to work, so after shopping etc I took the long way round from Morrisons at Beverley (ie 15 miles instead of 1 !) and found... Lexion and big NH in a superb setting - but was in heavy traffic so couldn't stop Dominator 18 + Ford7740 & Weeks trailer at Skidby Mill (photos) In adjacent felds down Eppleworth Lane Dominator 88 (photo, after the driver had stopped to ask what I was up to !) TX66 & another Ford 7*** + Triffit trailer (photo, as featured several times in the last 3 years) CR960 & NH TM155 (- hedge in the way) CX860 & various NH tractors (from yesterday - stopped for servicing with the sun at a bad angle) A Lexion in a field too far away Much later, out for a run, another old Class (but not carrying my camera) phew busy day..will download tommorrow !
  9. A bicycle is useful as I have just driven past the most cracking view of a Lexion unloading but couldn't stop because of the traffic ! Then again, I did cover 15miles in an hour and had time to wait for combines to return down the field to collect a few more shots for the album....
  10. I don't have the time to go chasing things (especially being away most of the week, I have to catch up at home on the weekends), but try and get things while en route. There's plenty of action just locally - IF I'm lucky
  11. I know about the evil glances from She That Shall Be Obeyed ! But I get severe earache as well ! Nice catch, FB
  12. Finally (for now) a couple from my recent holidays. First of all, this smart Deutz was used with a special trailer for refuse collection in the village of Neustift, south of Innsbruck. And this little single-cylinder, 4-wheel drive contraption was at one of the Mountain "Huts" (at about 2300m/7,600 feet) we stayed at while trekking round the Stubai Valley (yes, the weather was grim that day, so we were ready for something warm after a 9-hour trek !)
  13. Still, it was interesting to chat to the driver for a while. Despite the Hull Birds Eye factory closing, a lot of peas are still grown round here
  14. I was lucky enough to see a field of Peas being worked on the Wolds on my way home from work at Brough, but by the time I'd got parked up, the Viners had moved away to the far side of the field and i was only left with the trailers....
  15. I made a topic about sea-side tractors a couple of years ago, but it's not often I find any "at work" - an MF and Case also at Bridlington
  16. But I don't know what make what the crawler is. The local lifeboat at my work in Anglesey (Treadurr Bay) has a lovely County, all sea-proofed but i haven't seen that in the open yet for a photograph.
  17. When out with the family, we often end up on the coast for Fish n'Chips (proper fresh fish from the local ports !). I wasn't popular when I dissapeared for 1/2hr to cacth the Lifeboats at Bridlington, first an MF......
  18. Well, it hasn't been a good year for farming with me, but I have seen some odd bits and pieces. First of all, at some "Open gardens" in N.Yorks with the family, I was distracted by a diesel engine noise which I first thought was a Fergie...turns out to be a Dexter levelling a pony paddock
  19. Interesting variety of machinery, Great pictures, especially the Class + Joskin trailer is fantastic !
  20. I was working at my old base yesterday so it was a real pleasure to take a zig-zag route over the Wolds to Beverley and see what was happening... Lovely Class 218 unloading but right next to a junction so couldn't stop Over the road an MF & baler Up the hill an MF7244? with MF6475 leading (graphed that one, but at a distance) over the road a case with JD6620 leading (but behind a big tall hedge) JD6610 ploughing (got that) 2 separate balers (too far away) An MF and Lexion in fields too far away A pair of Lexions in the biggest cloud of dust ever - miles too far away Tracked Class discing ditto But I did graph the CX860 * NHT7040 I'd seen the previous night Unfotunatley it was quite cloudy so the lighting was flat. Must get some pictures up soon (I'm sciving off from my list of jobs the missus has left me with !!!)
  21. one other tip is to try and catch the combine before it is too dark, so that there is some light on the thing without relying on the lights (and I take squillions f pictures !)
  22. well done ! I have a few like that but not nearly so clear and sharp.
  23. There seemed to be a much higher proportion of the cereals harvested down the A1; just a couple of large Cases discing/cultivating near RAF Wyton, then potatoe harvesting just next to RAF Wittering. From Bawtry onwards there was quite a string of combines at work of all types...but no photos (with work colleagues in the car as well)
  24. I never thought of looking in Tesco for farm models - what make is it ? If it is nothing special then I wouldn't mind carving one up (such a shame to pull apart a proper model) Nice effort there.
