  3. I'm fed up with the cold already and it's about time I added a few of my old pictures. Somewhere between Wetwang and Malton I found this gem at work
  4. I clicked on page1 of this thread by accident and it's discussing who has got Snow (Dec2005 !) B***y cold here today - a bit more wet snow tonight

There was just a light dusting from Manchester onwards as I came home from Angelsey late last night and it has been cold (-2 to -4) & bright in Beverley until returning from an afternoon shopping trip in York with the missus- 2" Snow had fallen suddenly giving blocked A63/A1079/A1034 + jacknifed lorries, BlackIce etc....3.5 hours to do 30 miles. A goood job we didn't follow plan A and go to castle Howard. I'm going to hibenate tommorrow (if she lets me !).
  6. I haven't had chance to look at FTF for a few weeks, but yours is always one of the first sites I find - keep up the good work Mart !!
  7. Interesting you are still harvesting...I think we're about done over here. Anyhow, on the usual Friday journey home it was all quiet until east of the A1.....several NH's of various types, a big JD and a tracked-Class cultivating, MF's with Grimme harvestor & box-trailer in with the potatoes around Goole, a large new MF and valderstad drill etc etc. (I'm decorating all weekend so won't get out and about with my new camera!!!)
  8. Tust one combine at work today (Sunday evening) - an oldish NH a few fields away in the evening North of Beverley. I presume it was so wet it took all day to dry out ! The local pea vining team were still at work at 9:45 pm though at Etton.

During a w/e in the lake district A JD990 and new-ish MF harvesting Barley just off the A66 near Appleby new MF5455 lifting bales near the Kirjkstone Pass Case/IH doing the same up the Grizedale valley Renault, TM150 and a MF 6180 & bailey trailers running silage through Paterdale ancient Ford 3910 pottering around a farm near there There had even been some harvesting round here when we got home - thats early!
  10. before heading home over the Kirkstone pass via Brotherswater and Ullswater.... Thats all for now folks (I must dig out last years harvest shots sometime)
  11. After a bar meal and pint in the Fish hotel, we caught the sunset at Crummock water. Next day we ended up in Grassmere
  12. next to Buttermere where the usual "old favourites' were seen (neat little shelter don't you think ?)

  15. next to Newlands Valley, our favourite (looking West then east). The lambs were only a few weeks old but I didn't get any good shots of them
  16. and they moved from field to field so quickly !
  17. unfortunately the sun was getting a bit low...
  18. Last weeeknd it was hot n sunny for me and the missus to escape for a couple of days and do some walking. Here's a few shots I took on the way - first farming shots for a long while (not up to other standards on here I'm afraid !). I was pleased to run into some silage work near Appleby (just off the A66)
  19. Lovely clear pictures Richard, well done (the last time I was at Beauvechain, I got moved on by the police for watching the F-16's !!)
