  1. Believe me Mark, the cold weather can be fun as well if you choose to put it in 2wd and have a bit of a blast.
  2. Finally got round to getting a Britains Kane silage trailer and orderd the MF loader tractor at the same time. Really impressed with both models. They may not be perfect but they are good enough for me - well done Britains.
  3. Nice looking quad Mark. We have a Honda and its a brilliant little machine. What sort of specification is it: cc 2 or 4 wd etc?
  4. Niels posted a photo of a similar machine recently, post number 70.
  5. Yep http://www.hollylovestoys.com/product.php?id_product=606
  6. Fair bit of rain here over the last week or so but heavy storms in the last 2/3 days. Did you manage to get the animals in before they made a mess or not? The herd at college have made a hell of a mess.
  7. My first model purchase of the year, the FTF gun metal 1056XL turned up yesterday.
  8. Another great issue Rory. Have to say, I have enjoyed the 'history' articles that have been featured recently. I really enjoyed reading the one on early front linkages, with this months article on front loaders being another informative read. All I can say iskeep up the good work.
  9. Ford 7610 gen 2 (mainly just because it was the first tractor I drove), Case 885( our old loader tractor-cab seemed old compared to our current tractor but still remember sitting in there as a passenger for long amounts of time), New Holland TM175/190 (good gearbox, nice cab and decent amount of hp), Massey Ferguson 6499 (decent amount of power but still with dyna-6), John Deere 7530 & Case Quadtrac (havent driven one but just such an imposing machine)
  10. Bit been done down here as well so that maize can be put in. Is that whats going to happen here or will it be cut again later in the year?
  11. http://www.farmersguardian.com/home/machinery/machinery-features/juggling-top-service-with-tough-machinery-decisions/46102.article This profile on our local contractor. Mainly the picture that made all my family laugh. Plus its hard to imagine him giving a serious interview when we know him as well as we do.
  12. She sleeps in a corner in our utility room at nights but spends the day either in a tractor or tied up in the garden.
  13. This is our farm dog, Millie. I use the phrase farm dog very loosley as the only job she can really do is dig out and catch rats. Shes not fond of having her photo taken. In fact, the only decent photos of her front on that I have access to at the moment involves a christmas hat As you can see, she doesnt look very happy but she generally is just a soppy fuss seaker.
  14. Mainly just any agricultural related stuff for me. The reason its mostly modern is just because the modern brochures are easy to get hold of as shows and alike. I would quite like to have some older brochures, for example, some of the MF ones that Lord F has shown on here have some lovely artwork in, but going after older brochures like that can get a bit expensive and I just cannot afford it at my age, what with looking for a car and a growing collection of models. That said, I would like to, someday, get the brochures that were released for our real tractors at home.
  15. Carrying on from yesterday with final preparations for the college 24 hour ploughing marathon. Finally ready to go after a manic day running round trying to do lots of niggly jibs that shouldn't take long but still seem to. Also got the final timetable given to us today (ploughing in the dark for me ), along with news that we should have a demo Fendt 936 to have a play with in the afternoon. All I can say is roll on tomorrow. Thank god for energy drinks
  16. Sorting out ploughs, fuel and food for our college 24 hour ploughing marathon on Thursday.
