  1. Get a small pin punch or similar, put the wheels over something like a partially open vice and give the axle rod a tap with the punch and hammer, retaining ring will part company with it then, same thing applies to front axle
  2. I would have to say that Nuffield were one of the quickest ones along with IH
  3. Its one of the small Deutz Fahr tractors I believe, possibly Agro-kid
  4. Didn't have the camera with me today as I thought i'd just be muck carting then come home, I'll have it with me tomorrow though, should be discing and then ploughing unless the weather forecast is right, should pour down with rain tonight here
  5. I bet the TM190 is a supersteer model as the 8870 i used to drive was a bit like that on the steering. Spent today changing the wheels back to the solid pan ones on the TSA and then muck carting till mid afternoon. I then took over on the Ford 8770 and 6 furrow Kverneland plough, nice to get back to one of my favourite jobs
  6. Its a lot better than the last lot, turns out I worked with the owners son, who's my age, a few years back when we were both on contract to a potato contractor bed forming and sub soiling
  7. I believe its a 12 tonner Marky, I'd rather use the Bunning to that one though, just a much better towing trailer
  8. Just for you Marky, as requested some pictures of the Baileys Dump trailer The second pic is of the chassis, at the back are two axle mounted rams that transfer weight onto the back pair of wheels to make it more stable in theory, I was told it usually does the opposite on rough ground \
  9. It has indeed, I was talking to the boss about that tonight, he says it did have solid pans/rims on it to start with but they cracked up and shattered around the centres so they went back to these ones at NH's and the dealers expense
  10. Next up the McCormick MC135 Power 6 and Baileys dump trailer, not a bad tractor but noisy and rough riding, not a patch on the TSA \
  11. Thanks guys Heres some pictures from today, first up is the TSA135 sporting powershift gearbox and twin beacons on the Bunning dump trailer. This is the nicer of the two out fits having all round suspension on the tractor and being much quieter than the McCormick, the 33mph travel speed is nice too
  12. Cheeky g!t, may not have the looks but at least I have a full head of hair :D
  13. Smart ar$e I did wonder that as well :D :D
  14. Looking very good there Yes they were Marcus but the later Stanhay/Webb versions were orange and black
  15. 10 or 12 tonner I think, looks good on floatation tyres Will take the camera tomorrow
  16. Never had anything to do with the 40 series before today but looking forward to it I'll be using 2 tractors, the TSA135 on a Bunnings dumper and the McCormick on a Bailey's dumper Nah, bare hands, gives ya dinner a certain twang :D :D
  17. Thank goodness! Thanks Marky, got to be better than the last place :D You mean that you and Barry are in love with me as well as each other : :
  18. Spent today washing things down and had to pick up one of the spreaders from Bunnings after having a refurb there, get on well with the owner and his son so looking good so far

    Nuffield 342

The rear end is the same I believe along with steering parts, the only difference is the mudguards are smaller and the engine is a 3 cylinder on the 3/42 (3 cyl/42hp or 4cyl/60hp hence the model numbers on the earlier ones, the 10 standing for gears on the later ones)

Nice to hear someone say they have bought a great classic/vintage tractor I used to have its bigger brother, a 1963 4/60. I do still have a workshop manual and I believe a parts manual for the tractor so may be able to help you out. It was sold when we moved house and had no where to keep it or the 1948 M3 model I also had. Think that I may syill have some gaskets and other bits and pieces to suit about here
  23. Should have listened to his own warning really I guess :D
  24. Good job the spelling numpties are gone :D :D
  25. I think it was something along those lines John but I only ever drove a Gen III 7810T for a few hours on a trailer, never paid much attention to the hydraulic set up \
