  1. He finally caught me up at 4.30, I was doing 4.7mph and i believe he was travelling at 7-8mph

  3. Here you go Martin First is the gear lever, any 40 series drivers should be familiar with the lever operation, pull to back for low range, push forward for high range, 17 gears in total on here as its a 50kph model Second shows spool controls, pto controls and switches for display screen selection on dash, power boost, 4wd, diff lock and auto gears/transport boost. Also knob for front linkage height setting
  4. My guess is the original fixings fell out on the top of the cab, happened to the one we had where I worked before \
  5. McCormick MC135 and Vaderstad Rapid 30s box drill
  6. TSA from back and dash panel showing ground speed, PTO speed, and clock l-r bottom row, dials for engine rpm, temperature and fuel level, green lights are 4wd and middle 2 signal that the power boost is active I have some pictures of the rh console I can post if anyones interested
  7. Finished ploughing that field today and we managed to get the whole 33 acres drilled as well between 10.30am and 6pm excluding the headlands. I had the TSA135 on the 4m Kverneland power harrow and my boss had the McCormick on the Vaderstad box drill TSA and power harrow
  8. Thanks Marky, always room for one more in that tractor, all of the tractors apart from the McCormick have a passenger seat of sorts Good to be back to proper farm work again, not quite as comfortable as the Renault but I've driven much worse The gearbox is quite smooth under load except from the 9th-10th range change which gives a bit of a kick, you've got to learn with these ones, get the revs right and there's no trouble
  9. Thanks, yes it is old beet ground, all was lifted with a tractor mounted 6 row Garford machine. This field started off with short runs but is nice long work once you get into it. It does plough leveller and helps with grip going cross ways at times
  10. Just a little John. forgotten how rough it could be after 3 years driving a Renault with all round suspension, still a fairly smooth ride though
  11. Too early for seagulls at 8am but they were present and redecorating the tractor later on Its dry on top but fairly wet beneath and in the case of headlands they have been sub soiled today to let the water drain, trouble is it worked well and I nearly got stuck as it had turned to mud behind it
  12. Final two pics, first one shows the dash console with speed read out, gear display, engine revs, hitch settings and all the guages and warning lights as well as work light switches Second pic is of rh console with hand throttle, gear lever, hitch, spool and PTO controls
  13. Front from a different angle and out of the back window
  14. Today I have beem ploughing all day with the 8770 and Kverneland, covered just under 30 acres and this time I had my camera with me 8770 from front and rear view first up

    Ros Fiats'

I have the F130, its a basic model and lacks detail but its good none the less, keep trying to get hold of one of the 180-90's as I just like the 90 series Fiats
  16. I'm so scared *mutters to self* calls me a pillock will he :D
  17. Don't bother finding big nose's list Tim, if you wrote it on paper it would destroy too many acres of forest :D :D
  18. TVO Nuffield would be an M3 or M4, M3 having 3 wheels as I used to have one of them and can vouch for the speed You should get 20-22mph ok s its got slighty different wheel gear i think
  19. Good stuff Tim, how'd you know I like playing in the mud Shut it big nose, at least I haven't caused the quantity of damage to the tractors that you have : :D
  20. :o :o More money than sense is the phrase that springs to mind
  21. So it was you that outbid me was it :D :D
  22. Whilst on the subject of immigrants, whats annoyed me is the fact that all the Portugese that Bernard Matthews have layed off are getting ?19.10 a day in compensation, no doubt they are getting unemployment benefit at the minute as well because of it and yet they are complaining that they are being ill treated and it is not enough to live on. Well in my eyes tough luck, its better than what a lot of people get when they are laid off or made redundant, its still near enough ?100 a week in compensation, they say they will have to go back home to work, well let them, my towns full of his workers, they even have their own cafes where if you go in they fall silent and glare at you > >
