  1. I hadn't got a clue either until I saw the pictures, stirred a memory of a pic I'd seen in a kids Usborne book years ago. Not started the blower yet, thats going to be the more awkward of the two to build I believe \
  2. Thats right, it was in the Farmers Weekly a few weeks ago that they can't release the current years figures until the following year due to some rules or regulations
  3. No problems, just to clear any confusion this topic is just to discuss the entries, post your pictures in the competition one ( link below ) and lets hope for some really good entries in this one http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=13497.0
  4. What do you call Gandy boxes? May be known as something else here :-X :-X :-X
  5. Thanks for the suggestion Ollie, I'll add it to the to look at list for when I get a chance :D Definately makes sense though
  6. :o Hells bells that made a mess of that! Do you know if the driver was ok?
  7. Thanks and to answer your request, I've given it some thought and ...... well..... the answers NO :D :D
  8. Here's a couple of pics of it on the elevator, just needs a couple of rubber flaps fitted to it and its done. Doesn't quite sit right on mine as for some reason the chassis is twisted on it, been like it from new \
  9. Thanks, I'd never seen one of these until Garret sent me the info the other night, everyone here is on clamp systems, can't remember even seeing a silo around here \
  10. The front deck tips to supply the slatted floor on the back one, just waiting for a pair of rams to arrive for it
  11. This is something that i have never seen in the flesh so was something of a novelty when i was asked to make it by a certain barn building member on here. Used in conjunction with a blower it is used to fill up silo type silage bins, with the load being tipped onto the bed and then being tipped up onto the back section of floor before being pulled through a pair of beaters (yet to be fitted) by a slatted floor and then conveyed into the blower. I'm sure that Garret can answer any questions on the workings of one of these better than i can. It's managed to keep me out of trouble all day today though :D
  12. Thanks Marcus. Thats a very good question, losing track of whats what number now
  13. Yes, this was made for a particular persons requirements with the elevator height measurements i was given, it can easily be altered to adjust to any height though
  14. Cheers Tris. You'd just stick the tines under the cental bar on it This was an order which I'm happy to say has turned into more orders, think i'll take your suggestion on board though, at least until the end of next week
  15. I have a suggestion as to what you can do involving your George Foreman Grill and your so called mate, may bring tears to the eyes of every man on here though : :D
  16. I didn't think they were that rare yet but if you can get them at that price I'd definatley be interested in a couple
  17. Just had a message from the other half, she's currently snowed in at her brother-in-law to be's farm on the edge of the Peak District at a place called Rushton on the Staffs/Cheshire border area

    Old MF Baler etc

The game keeper had one of those balers for doing his pheasent run bales and the oat bales for the kennels with where I used to work. Good baler if you didn't push it too hard. We soon learnt that 15-20' wide cuts were enough for it, the first year he had it we never thought and I cut full 25' widths in good winter barley, the poor blokes leg was aching from riding the clutch on the Ford, none of the estates tractors had a gear slow enough, it was spitting a bale out every metre :D
  19. Nice pictures Marcus. Great looking Nuffield in amongst them
  20. Ok, done. Begining to wish i'd made it so i could cast it now :D Will post a pic of it on the elevator as soon as the paint decides to dry
  21. I was asked by a member on here if I could make a bunker to fit the Fysons elevator where the existing red one sits as this isn't big enough for the Marstons trailer. Just needs another coat of paint now and its finished, all made out of plasticard and plastruct
  22. Looks to me like you've got a nice set up there Luke. Looks like you've got as much on your spreader there as we put in our 10 ton ECE machines. Always good to see how much you can put in a spreader before the bed chains stop moving :D
