  1. Got a fridge here containing 8 cans of IPA and 8 cans of Old Speckled Hen.......hmmmmm decisions decisions ;D
  2. I'll give you a clue what you can do with your cans of easy start, its your choice whether you want them to be coated in vaseline first or not though :of I've banned that stuff from the farm workshop, caught the boss squirting it into his 6420s last year when the battery was dodgy on it
  3. Leave the whole thing on or above a heater/radiator and you might get a surprise, my mate got his back to life that way after a similar incident
  4. Dunno, why don't you go weigh your van in then let me know Tris ;D ;D
  5. Done a couple of jobs on my Discovery then bolted my shotgun cabinet into position in my house, finally got my armoury moved over here from Mum's
  6. The bonus has just covered the viscous coupling, rocker gasket and filters for a service, so I'll have to keep my fingers crossed it isn't the starter motor \
  7. My mate actually has in the past ordered a new tractor without it because of the amount of time the tractor was going to spend with heavy front mounted gear on that would have buggered the front suspension up rather quickly by the manufacturers admission, that was 3 or 4 years ago now when these modern type suspensions were still in their infancy
  8. My Discovery.....its been a bugger for starting from cold for a few weeks so after fitting a new battery a couple of weeks ago I've just done the heater plugs......oh joy no difference, starter motor methinks, best get it tested! Just to top it off I could hear a rattling noise when it was ticking over.....the viscous coupling on the cooling fan is just about shot....great
  9. I'll have to go and cut a couple more rings off the tree first, saving the remaining one in the wood shed for a chopping block ;D Had to cut the other ones up with the chainsaws
  10. I've got a few bits of that here that are unsplittable by axe, they would test it out
  11. Buster V Mum's cat, everytime he got withing 6 feet of her she started growling at him, when he was closer it was hissing as well. Watching him gingerly pick his ball up from within 12 inches of the growling kitty with his front teeth whilst having his neck stretched right out was the most amusing bit ;D
  12. You could also try walkerparts@planet.nl I don't have a copy of his latest catalogue to check but he may do them
  13. Nope, will be leaving it as is for now John, give UH time and they'll probably do one anyway
  14. I've now got her all painted up and hoses fitted, just need to sort the lights out now and its totally finished other than decals. Close up of brake pipe and hose detail
  15. My guess is they were hanging down on the one they measured up so UH didn't realise that they actually attach to pins and tabs on the linkage, about my only criticism of the model \
  16. UH Nuffield Universal Four 1/16, been waiting ages for someone to produce some Nuffield models, certainly not disappointed with this one ;D
  17. I've had to guess the ram as I've seen 8 ton trailers with single and double rams locally so that may not be correct but I'm happy with it I didn't want a grain chute on it Sean, thats always an optional extra anyway, not a standard fitting
  18. Thanks guys. I've now finished the trailer other than the painting, have stuck to the manual tailboard for this one as well. Close up of the axle details
  19. In which case I'd second the oracles opinion of a 3085, the one I drove a couple of years back could pull a house down depite being 3 parts knackered. It was the 16 speed Speedshift model as well, I'd agree that this would probably be the most reliable variant for your needs instead of the Dynashift, there should be several about for reasonable money these days
  20. What are you actually wanting to use the tractor for John? The 3085/3095/3125 are good tractors but they are a bit bulky in some places, would something like a 100hp 399 be more suitable being slightly smaller? The main areas of faults with 30/31 series MF's were the gearboxes which had been known to fall apart and electrical niggles. It should be possible to pick up a decent 3085 etc for £6-10k although they may be getting up on the hours
  21. Thanks John. It was the mechanical up and over door that I was thinking of but never seen a Bailey with one fitted so unsure of that one \ would certainly be more fitting for a trailer local to this area
  22. What annoys me is the people still driving with 6-8 inches of snow on the car roof, lost count of the number that have driven past here like that today, its great when it flies off a lump at a time hitting the car following them how long would it take to brush it off?
  23. My boss has just been round with my Christmas card from the farm owners containing my Christmas bonus ;D now off till January the 4th as well, already been off since last Tuesday with a bad chest infection so wouldn't have been back anyway before Christmas under doctors orders
