  1. Credit where credit is due John, you done a cracking job.... I don't think I'd have complained even if the 272 is destined for the Valley, it's still a fantastic build even with the little fogging that doesn't show too much in the photos
  2. Well John ... Words fail me..... But stunning work...must be one of the finest batches of the brand ever produced in 32nd Scale and .like Martin says above the fogging doesn't look too bad in the photos, maybe it wants setting in a wet day looking scene rather than calling it a reject... hell Bathgate let worse out of the gate back in the day 😂 The reaction of the laquer seems more of a problem though. Still fantastic work and every credit to you
  3. That they did and still do John, a lot of folk put Leylands down for the bad brakes and poor steering but that was more a lack of maintenance rather than any fault of Leyland.... The 498 and 698 engines that replaced the earlier 38td and 51/57 BMC were Leylands strong points. Torque and power and not too bad on fuel with the added bonus of a great exhaust note 👍
  4. Stunning John... As always. You can almost hear the bark of the 698 up that exhaust... 😍
  5. Looked to be well supported Justin, thanks for sharing your photos 👍
  6. I know the owner of the 954, he's had it from new and over the past 18 months he made a new set of mudguards for it, it's still a working tractor alongside a 10/60 Nuffield and a more modern NewHolland. Your probably right about the conversion kit, but it be a handy nimble little tractor
  7. Cheers Sean, ahh early Sunday shifts... That be you rolling in coin from the overtime then
  8. Cheers Justin 54 I think in total... Some well turned out gear, like a lot of folk have pushed on with a lock down project, 954 Marshall had it for me but that 4000 4wd was a nice tractor
  9. The tractors setting away on the Pendle Witch tractor run today VID_20210725_100604.mp4
  10. Another to the collection care of John JMD, thanks John, one that's eludeded me for years is the Leyland Highways brochure.
  11. Local tractor run this morning, but seeing as just back from a few days away didn't have chance to get the 804 and 465 ready, but me and Gemma walked on to see them away, bumped into John JMD for a quick natter and collected an envelope of some brochures too 👌anyhow some photos
  12. Gemma spotted the Ford's and Nashe's at Hornsea, Ben
  13. Stunning work there John. Nothing less than we come to know of you now 🙂
  14. No bother John we know it's in safe hands and Roy agreed it was a good place for it go live 👍
  15. Built for the very first Lancashire and Lakeland model show held at Nether Kellet by Harold powlton, the tractor was awarded by judges opinion on the day go Roy Leetham for his display of converted and scratch built tractors and 76th scale Langley kits and Dutch barn, the show was organised by my late dad, me and Harold, was the first step to what became the Lakeland model farm and construction show now held at Penrith. Roy approached me at the last show held before covid and said he'd like the tractor go come back to its home as a tribute to my dad, but knowing that John was a large collector of Britain's Ford's, we agreed that it could have a home in a collection where it would fit in well and also I'm sure my dad would appreciate Johns collection seeing as he was a big fan of Ford and Fordson tractors himself
  16. This getting a good guide for any newbie wanting to get into collecting Britain's Ford's John.... 👍
  17. One or two familiar looking tractors there John, but good to see them all out whilst you've time to photo them look forward to seeing the rest of your collection 👍
  18. Don't think Gemma needed much teaching, she turned out to be the tractor mad midwife of Burnley General hahaha.. but yes I'd say they want saving before they get beyond salvage.... One of the TW would be right at home in your new shed once Matt gets the 802 finished
  19. It does that John, the salty air won't have done them any favours but a good man would be able to salvage a good tractor out if what's left.... It's criminal though that so many classics there left to decay... It's sad enough to see old majors and old nuffys decaying by the salt but there's a big difference in relative price range between an old major and a tw......
  20. Gemma away on the Yorkshire coast, and surprised she been tractor spotting whilst headed to the beach, this is a crying shame go see these just sat being eaten to death by the salt.... Some boat owners must have more money than sense
  21. Fantastic scenes there John, every credit to you and your scratch builds
  22. Out for a walk with Gemma's dog and spotted this 1174 on a local building site, reckon they must be taking a few trees out
