Anybody's thoughts on this?? Seems to bring mental images of next releases also being limited run Gun Metal and Gold versions?? Maybe i should bite on one as i have the other four red and one black...... but somehow doesn't look as appealing in white. Thanks to David (DM434) for the tipoff about them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Hobbies-1-16-Case-IH-1455XL-Tractor-White-Beauty-Edition-1-of-10-/122513751929?hash=item1c86637f79:g:Ln4AAOSw8lpZJYpb

A little update, Think the New Years resolution sort of fell by the wayside..... Weekends seem to be flying by and freetime seems to be abit thin on the ground but had her out the other week and took her for tour and tackled the climb of Jeffery Hill, stopped at the top to take in the view looking back over Chipping from my dad's final resting place, She climbed the hill no problem but it cleaned her out and blew a few cobwebs from the stack And down at the yard..... bit of a fleet photo Hoping it'll not be too long afore she's out and about stretching her legs again burning a bit more diesel -

Cheers Erik and Martin, Well you never know down here bud .... always be prepared if you find a wet spot, or might come in handy if we end up with a trailer rolled over or laying in a ditch hahaha. No problem the two nuffys in the background Paul the one on the left is UH's Universal 4 and the one on the right is a RJN 10/60 with 14x30's and front tombstone weight. -

Whats on your workbench???
Valley Axe Man replied to MODELFARMER's topic in Other Conversions & Scratch Builds
The bonnet and panel came off Phil Hairsine, he'd built one up for Stuart Borthwick and set about casting a couple,He had plans to build a handful of 802's and 804's but it never happened so before he passed away he gave me a bonnet and panel and said one day i'd get round to building myself one. -

Cheers Sean, the dash panel is off the original scaledown down Leyland 384 but the console itself was one of the the castings that came along with the bonnet, just needed cleaning up and then shaping abit more to the inside of the cab. Like your idea of using Marge wheels, on the real 4wds they were more fitted on narrower rubber. don't quite know how long it'll take me to get it finished, More updates as work progresses -

Cheers, from memory Paul it's a Dave towse donor 804 for the cab and floorpan, and a good few years ago i got given a couple of resin Leyland bonnets, and a resin cast cab interior, that Phil Hairsine had cast after he'd done a similar build of an 804 for Stuart Borthwick, Phil put his on a scaledown Nuffield 4/65 chassis, but i had a part built Leyland 384 so i used that instead, it's been on the bench for about 2 years but keep doing a bit to it, it's just recently started sitting on imber rears and UH renault hedger fronts, as there's a similar specced Leyland 802 parked not far from the yard where i keep my Major. Floorpan still needs abit more fitting as does bonnet but am getting there slowly......... -
