1/16th Log Splitter

Hi Erik, glad you like the Splitter, the farmer is by G and M Originals of Nottingham England, they do 3 different styles, the one pictured standing, one seated with legs apart ( straddling gearbox) and one seated legs together (best suited to flat floor models) but they compliment the models nicely, and a reasonable price too Bruder have realesed male and female figures in a loose 1/16th scale too -
Here's some pics of another creation for down in the woods to keep my winch tractor company, This Log splitter just a workshop made one, out of an old hydraulic ram and a few rusty lumps of steel, nowt fancy but functional The model made out of Plastruct box and tube, with single 14s electical wire for the hydraulic pipes. Pics show it hitched up to a 2nd weathered UH major, this one painted up like an "older" restoration but with a very oily engine

Good luck at the sale tomorrow Bill, hope you find a bargain or 3 ;) -
Cheers Tris and Sean, your comments greatly recieved, although Tris i'd rather hope it be up the hill with a strop an winch cable to the trunk pullin' away like a gud un! But i knows what you mean Sean sometimes its the getting motivated part to crack on with a build especially when work gets in the way Watch this space though 'cos i've cobbled another Major together out of left over parts from a couple of other builds (that seem to have been put on the back burner) for another tractor to go an play in the woods with!

Thats a real shame, The 100 series were leaders of the day, they had the telescopic pick up hitch, that a lot of folk said was a waste of time, but 30 years later in todays agriculture even the yard tractor has a telescopic hitch! and the sound of that leyland 6 cylinder is 2nd to none.

I'm hoping to put it to work in a 1/16th forestry display sometime Tris, theres a few odds an sods thats going toward the project and an idea or 2 floating around, It different doing 1/16th, just a bit different and a change from the norm and our usual 1/32nd forestry scenes. I can't say when the display will be finished but it'll appear somewhere Thanks for your comments though they appreciated I'm hoping o get a few more bits finished for Lanark Bill, although it not Forestry, but there is one or two new bits that i'm keeping under my hat until then Ps it not a fordson shaped cake either hahaha

aye thats the one Ben, owned by Thomas Blades, he also owns a Marshall 125 now, and still got various Leylands about him too.

The 100s get used daily, though not as mainline tractors these days, this year i'm aiming to get pics at first cut when they take them chopping with a claas jag 62. I've a few Marshall models about the collection, i've seen the ones that you do, mmm nice :)

Here a few of my photos of Marshalls 100 series tractors, Taken out and about and at Gt Ecclestone Agricultural show and Tractor Pulling, usually held 3rd weekend of July every year. There might not be many Marshall men on here but these belong to a Local Contractor, Who owns both the Golden Harvest and Green and Yellow versions of the 100, and the 904 that sneaked in the photos too,The Green and Yellow actually being produced as a special by the factory for a order as a special request and the straight pipe makes the 6 cylinder sound awesome
