  1. Unbelievable! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353098082878?_trksid=p2471758.m4703 I hope you get paid Dave!
  2. Have people lost their minds Either that or some very impressive shill bidding
  3. So I asked what has been done to it and this was the reply: 'I swapped the bonnet an bored the hole for the breather an changed the axle all into the original 3050 chassis' Worth £100 more than what I would value the original......?
  4. I think the point is Lee that the decals on the 40's and 50's are stickers rather than tampo printed (I had one or two in the early days without a sticker on), so you can easily take one off one piece and put it on another - no need for an axle swap (not saying thats what he has done). Other than that it looks like a standard issue model. These are well over priced for what they are in the first place, but adding that kind of money on for very little work is taking the mickey!
  5. Exactly my thoughts - hence the WTF! I am watching it just for the sport
  6. W T F! 'If' there is a buyer, they will have thoroughly lost the plot! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-32-john-deere-Britains-RARE-3050-4WD-Tractor/283863883971?hash=item42179b20c3:g:CIkAAOSwmgBeZBQt
  7. Before the release into the JCB shop, there were a few sold at totally stupid money. I dont know for sure but I guess they were around £25-30 to JCB employees and only available to them. I have several tucked away, they should gain a little over time, but they will never be worth £1500 each! Mind you I hope they do get there, as I could retire early
  8. I can only guess that the person paid a lot when they were stupid money at the beginning (pre official release) or as I said earlier, the decimal place has been put in the wrong place, failing that, absolutely no idea what they are worth/going for! They sure wont be selling it at that price
  9. Even moving the decimal place would make it too expensive!
  10. I didnt see the programme as not in my area, but what you might not understand is that Furloughed employees, if on contract, can not work for someone else if during their contracted hours - they are still 'on the books' of their employer, so could be breaching contract if they go and do paid work. Perhaps that may explain the 'volunteer' angle? Many of my growers are crying out for seasonal labour - this is the biggest threat to UK fruit/vegetable produce. There are plenty of people out there who could do this type of work, but typically they are English and on the whole are useless and have no real work ethic, so would rather sit at home, do nothing and get 80%. Again, all of the growers I know would be more than happy to pay anyone who is willing to work hard enough. A local company to me had to charter its own jet to get people in from Eastern Europe, just so they had a few workers to start the season with. Funny times!
  11. Guess who is back? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Britains-JCB-Fastrac/124132340330?hash=item1ce6dd326a:g:YaUAAOSwqw5eY6hZ
  12. Not surprising in a way Cyril. As Alastair said, the number of people window shopping on Ebay is far higher. There is another aspect too, on Ebay, you get buyer and/or seller protection via the dispute system and PayPal etc. I have bought one thing via Facebook - never again! There are too many cowboys ripping people off and wanting too much money for things, you also have no guarrantee of how quickly it will arrive and how well its packed. There is no feedback system when buying through Facebook - feedback is issued by a large proportion of buyers on Ebay - so it pays to get it right as a seller. Once you sell a few items, you almost get a 'reputation' and folks are more likely to pay more. I have been selling on Ebay since 2004 and while you do get some people who try to take the pi55, mostly they are good buyers. It is easy to get going - the tutorials are all there from memory. You can also look at other sellers listings to get ideas how to set a listing out. My five top tips as a private seller are: firstly be honest with your description - if it has a tear on one end of the box, say so or take a photo. Secondly if you want a certain price for something either start the auction at that price or make that your Buy It Now price - reserves are a waste of time and you pay for adding a reserve. Thirdly, dont forget to factor in the fees (Ebay 10% on both sale price and postage, PayPal varies but I allow 20pence + 3.4% of money recieved). Fourth, pack an item well to avoid damage in the post, I alway use oversized boxes with packing material. Lastly, take advantage of £1 maximum selling fees which come up every 2 weeks or so (at the moment), this means you only pay £1 no matter what the selling price is - for example a £90 item plus £10 postage would only cost you £1, instead of £10. Just my thoughts, probably havent covered everything and there will be other folks with thoughts too.
  13. I am not up their other accounts, but I received a very poorly packed item from this one - wrapped in no more than a few supermarket carrier bags!
  14. I do hope this is no one on here...... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/John-Deere-7930-7920-Britain-s-Ertl-1-32-Custom-Offthefarm19-Display/174210610314?hash=item288fc2f48a:g:vIwAAOSwEIBeX-4L
  15. Tend to agree Justin. I cant see a decent box, nor anything rare, so £300 would be the outside (what I would give anyway). Some people think that Britains models are worth far more than they actually are.......
  16. Can't make that add up to £750 myself!!
  17. W T F ! ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WIKING-JOHN-DEERE-6930-SCALE-1-32-MINT-CONDITION-NOW-OBSOLETE/153819689116?hash=item23d05e309c:g:uv4AAOSw7TReN5Ub https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WIKING-JOHN-DEERE-6250R-SCALE-1-32-MINT-CONDITION-LTD-EDITION-OF-1000/153819699781?hash=item23d05e5a45:g:1NMAAOSwnAJeN5ob https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WIKING-JOHN-DEERE-7430-PREMIUM-LTD-EDITION-SCALE-1-32-MINT-CONDITION/153819698014?hash=item23d05e535e:g:X5EAAOSw4OFeN5i-

  19. I don't think they are, they are great for Britain's, but still only Britain's tractors.........
  20. I am sorry, but does a new set of decals and a sticker on the box constitute the huge price increase? Bog standard Britains price mania again!!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CONVERSION-1-32-FORD-7710-4WD-TRACTOR/133312482370?hash=item1f0a0b0c42:g:N9oAAOSwJU5eKEKX

  22. Paid £16.75 for mine It is after all, only a Britains tractor! At £101 you can buy so many better models - crazy what people do! I think they are a lot of money in the £30's!!!
  23. Reallly......? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Britains-Pig-Farm-1-32-Model-Base/153765211030?hash=item23cd1eeb96:g:Pf8AAOSwCAdd9NqP
  24. Hell of a lot of tractor for not a lot of money! Best looking Challenger made in my humble! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USK10629-Tracteur-sur-chenilles-CHALLENGER-MT-875E-avec-feux-LED/173637568675?epid=2209947673&hash=item286d9b08a3:g:SXEAAOSw6gdb6gWl
