  1. As requested - box needs squaring up a little but it's pretty good really. Got this because you don't see them round that often.
  2. Britains Claas Silage Trailer MIB, Ploughs in Rainbow Box, another JCB 3220 MIB, 2x 9530T MIB and another 7600 MIB. More worryingly I seem to be developing a Britains Transit fetish, now have JCB version, RSPCA and an official Ford boxed one...... thats just this week.......
  3. It is used in some circumstances for post plough work (I have seen it). The idea I have seen is to use it as soon after ploughing as poss or when it is dry enough in the Autumn. Can't show you a picture but, done well, it should leave about fist sized clods and a very open structure. Obviously you would use this on an over-wintered field, ready for Spring cropping.
  4. The JD question has been asked before me thinks.....have a search round the forum.......
  5. The 'best' limited edition question is a difficult one to answer because we are all different. The best ones for you are the ones you like. The best ones (in most cases) for financial investment are the smallest runs ie. sub 1000 or even lower...... Depends what you like at the end of it.
  6. Cheers Tim. I should have called the topic 'Calling all powerrabbits'
  7. Pic of the underside. I would say it is either very crude or quite old???
  8. Hi all some help please! Can someone identify the below? It was yellow all over and has no markings at all. It is about 1/43 scale being 2 1/2 inches long and about 1 1/4 wide. Thanks in advance
  9. I am no expert believe me, but I would guess that all you would do is 'burn' the metal away. It is of course a lot of metal 'fragments' pressed together as I understand it, so they would break up very easily. I do stand to be corrected if needs be.........
  10. Shaaaddap....trying to drum up business ere!!! :D
  11. Cometh the hour cometh the beacon maker......nudge, nudge, hint, hint.......
  12. Forgive me if I am typing out of turn but..........I have seen this subject disscussed so many times that surely we must be experts in disscussing it.........(yawn smiley) Can I summarise..... ERTL = toy maker Britains = toy maker Siku = toy maker UH = collectors items Please note the difference!!
  13. I have done the complete chassis/wheel swap so it involved taking the 5455 body work off and putting it on a K series so I don't know about the wheel swap...
  14. 1) I think UH have had an impact already because they are in the market, whereas 8ish years ago no-one knew who they were. 2) You can't compare the brands for obvious reasons 3) I don't think nor wish for UH to get a JD liscence As for collectability you just need to compare the obsolete prices that each brand comands. Imagine how much UH stuff will be in the future, taking into account the amount of pieces and the longevity of UH runs...... \
  15. I have done the K series chassis swap but remember you can do the same/lambo/hurlimann as well because if I am correct they are the same chassis. They will often be a little cheaper too as not so popular. The K does have a front linkage too.....
  16. Hovering beneath corn bins, mucking out pigs by hand, hand balling/stacking little straw/hay bales....really anything the 'boy' would do and the 'grown-ups' wouldn't!!
  17. Any auction room would, but my suggestion is that you go for a specialist such as Vectis, or there are a few regional rooms that have specialist toy sales such as Lacy Scott Knight and Gazes around my neck of the woods (Suffolk). You would be best splitting them up into smaller lots where poss. Of course there is also the classified on here which is free or you could line the pockets of good old Ebay...........
  18. As requested by Lordy........... Not rare or anything like that, but you know what it is like when you are after something.......
  19. And it will only go one way However the bank balance does end up getting smaller!! :'(
  20. Will do, oh great one - just got to wait for Postman Pat to deliver them.
  21. Finally got both the Britains '595' green and orange tractors MIB
  22. Up until I saw this post there were no surprises for me. However, in another thread there is the debate on UH pinching the rights - let them try and pinch the Inters off Britains RC2/Learning Curve!!!! I am very much looking forward to this year from Britains - UP THE OLD SCHOOL! And the Brits - (I know they aren't strictly British but the name goes a little way ) I would love Britains to be a point of positive spin instead of the same old (much of which I agree with....... ) Feeling nostalgic this evening!!
  23. Plow City Show JD 8630 - big bargain JCB 3185 on the plinth - big bargain MF 595 with loader - big not bargain Oh and 15 obsolete ERTL MIB tractors and 6 Implements - cleared out a toy shop store....... Britains 526s early version MIB Britains Super Spray MIB The plastic canna take it anymore captain......... :'(
  24. I am looking forward to getting back to work (cabin fever) - and what has started to fall out of the sky - the white stuff! What is the company poilicy on the white stuff???...............don't go out in it and work from home........bu99er!
