  1. I have just got a couple of the 4890s from the U.S. - you can still get them brand new - at great expense! The Toy Farmer version was only ever going to be produced as a limited ish run (5700 odd pieces) and then not re-issued as per the agreement with NFTS.
  2. Just a dusting at the moment up here near Diss. The forecast is for a decent amount in East Anglian terms, in other words it may get into double centimetres!
  3. It's the sign of the times I am afraid, most manufacturers are increasing prices, for a number of reasons. For example I am staying well away from the new UH Valtras - they dont seem good value. RRP for the 2021 Britains releases are an indication of the cost to suppliers - there aint that much money in them! Though like you say, the sales figures will tell the ultimate truth. Its all relative though - when I was a kid and buying Britains, I thought that £2-£5 was a lot of money!
  4. Fairly soon I hope, I have some on order, so will post up if I happen to be early in recieving them! No doubt someone will beat me to it!
  5. The re-issue John Deeres look like early March now, the other Spring releases should be this month some time.
  6. An interesting one Charlie. I think we are all of the opinion that at least in the short term, the pandemic will change life - to a greater or lesser extent - permanently. Certain trade only shows were, I would suggest, in decline as the ongoing effect of online sales bit into their market share, the pandemic can only have sped this up. On the flip side those with a display bias were the opposite. Consumers of the product are more tech savvy now - perhaps leading to a permenant partial shift to sourcing remotely. This could therefore impact on the viability of shows, certainly you would have to be brave starting a new one up I would say. As for Spalding specifically, this was the only show I went to - just because of work and family committments and I do live in Suffolk - so I have to travel a long way to get anywhere! I think it would be a great shame to lose any shows as they are a 'traditional' part of our hobby and a great place to chew the cud with folks, however, I can't see a return to a pre-pandemic show calendar soon - if at all.
  7. What amazes me is that its not even a limited edition - I paid less for my Gold Britains 8340T and there were only 102 of them made! Like you say though, its only sold when the money is in the bank!
  8. Pure insanity! If you wanted one that bad, why not buy a McCormick and have it resprayed? Sure wont cost that amount of money!
  9. Agree with Smithy, great tractors in real life and in model form, I highly rate them
  10. Here is the set I once owned, there were only 5 made, the models were commissioned by Andy. These photos were taken in December 2017.
  11. It does look promising. It seems there are only 1500 coming to the uk, so one wonders how many are being produced.......

  13. Mine too, but I just put up those which I knew a release date for. The others are all likely to be after July - so the Autumn/Winter stock
  14. Most of the new releases wont be until post July - so Autumn Winter. 15. Yes it should have 'twin' lights just under the windscreen, indicators on the cab roof and a vertical split rear window.......
  16. Yes, me too, well several in fact! They are now all sold out at Accurate Diecast (who commisioned them).
  17. Erm.... showing my tech skill...... Hopefully better........
  18. Hey presto - a photo. Not too bad a representation.....
  19. Not a bad time Joe, as the Kane Grain, Silage and Classic Silage are now sold out at Tomy. Especially as Britains seem to be the main donors for conversions, they will only get fewer me thinks!
  20. I freely admit to benefitting from it, but the prices for unboxed old Britains and ERTL stuff on Ebay at the moment are bonkers!
  21. Yes, many 'shoulds'! I havent seen a photo, so dont know what it looks like.
  22. To update myself, its to be the TW30 prototype 1884, for those who get Classic Tractor - my assumption is that its based on the one in the 40 year anniversary issue.....
