  1. Looks cracking Sean, the tip angle seems fine, most muck would even start to slide out at that angle so a bit of cake or grain would be fine. As for a donkey Dave Twose makes a nice resin engine although it may be a little small http://www.britainstoyfarm.net/100460/info.php?p=9&pid=3157385&ack=9 or a scratch built Lister would look good too
  2. Haha thanks Barry, while you had a pair of scissors we have a pair of laser cutters No computer programing just drawing in the design to scale like you'd draw a picture on paint or publisher. At my school we use a program called techsoft 2d design to do this.
  3. Think this is the correct topic for this? After speaking with a teacher at school and Marshall trailers I've got permission to use my schools laser cutter to create 6 Marshall QM 1400 silage/grain trailers. 1 is to go to the Marshall factory and the other 5 sold, most likely around £60 Anyway this is the laser cut frame. All that has to be added are the sides and floor sheets What do you think? James
  4. Very nice indeed, is that the siku truck or is it newray?
  5. Exactly James, for £1500 I don't think there's and I quote 'to many to mension' (spelling mistakes too). If I was shelling out that much id want to know exactly what I was buying and the condition of every item.
  6. Those outdoor shots are cracking Jack real summer evening feel to them
  7. Would have liked to have seen that Sean, my mum ran a few 6 & 8 wheeler leylands so a typical tipper of that era would be nice to see.
  8. Pounced on the dry weather and got some flags laid ready for a new shed dedicated to model farms.
  9. Thanks Jordan, casting my own wheels keeps the cost down more than anything
  10. Using up some materials left lying around. A small wooden silage trailer, not based on any model in particular but would probably say it rates between 6 and 9 tons. What do people think so far? I think it will be weathered up to look like its been left in the corner of a yard for a number of years hence the dodgy paint work so far. James
  11. The trailer looks great Uremoder, something a bit different. Any other plans for the truck?
  12. that's it thanks, some interesting kit around your yard then
  13. Looks good Sean but what's that sat in the shed on the right?
  14. Those tyres suit the JCB very well, are they aluminium centres? No problems with the trailer this time either?
  15. I can't even see them bothering with disk, the number of people with smartphones now would suggest brochures will just come on QR readers with little stickers on machines at shows or on websites
  16. I have some of the same problems Sean but on windows 7 so that rules out the windows 8 problem. However I don't have the problem with safari
  17. This display wouldn't have anything to do with that rather nice BT county at Penrith would it John?
  18. Ya lucky bugger for half your car insurance to be £250. I was speaking to a friend who's just gone 17 and was quoted £5000 for a Suzuki Jeep!!! Was that using one of these comparison sites?
  19. If your back on your bike you might want to try some larger tyres say 26'' or more? Can't beat a great mountain bike
  20. Much like on model railways then just I dont think they usually have a cover they're just kept open. Funny seeing the tractors driving on vertical walls
  21. Still think that those timbers are the most ingenious idea I've seen on a forum. Must get in touch with a friend with a router for a shed I've got planned. How is access to the other end of the shed and the rest of the farm now as it looks like you have to stretch quite far to reach it all and position machines?
