  1. i take it when say 'additive based' you mean along the lines of 'ad-blue' that lorries and some Mogs are on???

    ROS 2010

that looks fantastic, i hope ROS carry on this level with other makes.
  3. they may seem expensive but theres always a market for used Mogs in any condition. Which model did you try and who from???
  4. no although you can fit bigger springs or you can fit a smaller spring inside the original to alter the load. Its one of those machines that once youve driven and worked on one you just love em The way in which theyre used to tow in Germany is totally different to the UK, sadly alot of people dismiss them on the fact they dont look like a tractor
  5. depends on the type of hitch and trailer used really Tris, years ago the pick up hitch fitted to Mogs in the UK was a real after thought the ball type hitch available is alot better or use the the pin hitch which is attached to the chassis. http://www.southcavetractors.com/video/s80hitch/s80hitch.html well worth a look
  6. cracking 4955 well done, i used to drive a 4755 the last of the proper JDs ;D
  7. thanks for posting a good selection of tractors, i have to say my favourite is that BMC mini tractor
  8. you probably know what im going to say!!!! didnt you bother looking at a Mog? they may be dearer than a Fastrac but you get a higher spec machine more suited to road work that will always hold its value better than a Fastrac
  9. because Germany didnt have the regulations on cabs for Ag use, thats why the Ag spec model has a canvas roof, otherwise it would be a fibre glass cab for the UK. Shame about the colour, i think yellow was the most popular colour in the UK or the ones ive seen anyway. Im just pleased there are some great model releases of such a brilliant piece of engineering.
  10. years ago farmers stuck with a particular brand no matter what, i do think nowadays farmers arent so loyal which can be a good thing, keeps these companies on their toes
  11. one word comes to mind LEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you want a faster tractor get a Fastrac or a Mog or even better a lorry if the business cant afford it get out of it. Even with Fastracs and Mogs certain tyres have speed ratings, the sooner stricter tests for drivers and MOTs for tractors come into force the better :) wonder if anyone from VOSA will cast their eyes over this topic.
  12. that is a brilliant display as for practices in the UK they vary so much according to area, i still know alot of Farms in the fens using outdoor clamps.
  13. would love that Ag spec Mog anyone know how much they will be?
  14. great pictures thanks for posting, we have some very large growers in the Fens but not many still on 30 inch rows. There seems to be a shift to 80 inch beds especially for carrotts/snips.
  15. thats the trouble with the Norfolk sandy soils, we were forever making ruts, its either too wet or too dry
  16. years ago i saw a FIAT crawler on metal tracks with a mounted sprayer, i used to roll with a Track Marshall.
  17. with the detail UH are achieving in 1/43 they do seem very appealing, i reckon the implements in 1/43 will soon follow, Siku seem to be putting alot behind the 1/50 range, it will be interesting to see how it goes. I think its fair to say there is something for everyone nowadays Personally i would like to see more MB Tracs and Ag spec Mogs in all scales
  18. im surprised they havent done so aswell. There is a huge amount of French kit for UH to have a go at and as said before its good to see them not sticking to one manufacturer, no doubt Rolland will get a look in.
  19. does anyone know whether that Deutz was available in Europe or just the U.S??
  20. thanks for posting that Benny, its good to see a little effort other than a different box. Well done Siku and Claas.
  21. Well said and what most people dont realise is the UK farming and farm machinery business is toytown compared to the rest of Europe. I think as collectors we need to accept the mainstream model manufacturers are going to put their biggest market first and its not the UK.

    Swedtrac

thanks for posting, what a beast it just looks the job and no doubt very reliable.
  23. not sure where to put this, in the November issue of Collectors Gazette i see there is a review of Britains Grain and Forage trailer releases for next year. I havent read it, just noticed it in WHSmith today.
