  1. i like it Bill, i hope youre not going to shove it back in the loft?? Do you know how old it is? My uncle went through a phase of making horse drawn carts in the mid 70s, didnt interest me at the time but i find the horse drawn implements appealing now.
  2. i used to love them for what they were years ago when i was a kid, i loath them for neglecting the customer/collector for too many years. As for quality Britains toys dont last my kids but the Siku ones still do so before anyone says my kids are too rough why do Siku last longer??? Build quality thats all. I look forward to seeing the Case IH but other manufacturers will produce the same, so i no longer get excited about Britains releases!!
  3. i understand your thinking Andy its just a matter of buying the right model/toy that will increase its value, a very difficult choice with so many releases.
  4. it is worth trying your local JD dealer, they may even check other dealers stock to see if they have any around.
  5. Probably ahead of its time or the drop nose bonnet not developed sooner???? Which would help the visibility. Would be ideal on a Fendt Xylon or Toolcarrier.
  6. what a brilliant loader, i find the concept of it fascinating. Thanks for posting.
  7. great machinery thanks for posting I havent seen a straw chopper fitted to such a small combine before.

    great looking MB
  9. the Spalding show models have improved over the years but theyre still nothing to get excited about when compared to other show models, just my opinion.
  10. hi Henry, that looks a tidy 135 what year is it? any chance of some pictures of the Sheep im not familiar with that breed.
  11. well said Mark, years ago not sure whether it was my lack of wisdom but trailer safety wasnt high on the list of priorities, i think driving a Mog and working close with lorry drivers as i did in my last job it makes you realise the way tractors, trailers and machinery are used on public roads is frightening. I hope other members on here take a different more positive approach to all road work they may do especially with Ag machinery.
  12. just caught up with this topic! nice trailer you need to get the underside and chassis waxoyled, well worth the expense. as for the tyres we ran Michelin which were expensive but lasted well, we changed the tyres on rims to even the wear and noticed cracks inside the tyre??? when we spoke to the rep although the tyres were speed rated and could operate at low pressure we were told to inflate them more purely for road work, a tyre inflation system is money well spent with hardly any wear on the tyres of the U400 even after 2 years.
  13. i think ex lorry trailers are bad news, i hate seeing them towed behind a tractor most only have the towing dolly braked, and then you see them being dragged around by a tele-handler. about 4 years ago a lorry driver at Omex had a BT van hit him head on going along the A11, the pin sheared off the empty tanker sending it through the back of the cab, the BT driver had fallen asleep and died instantly, driver of the lorry escaped with a few broken bones badly bruised, the tanker had not long been tested. Yet we still see tractors hauling loads and trailers on that terrible hook and eye puh with no testing on trailers, tractors or stricter driver regulations, with Fastracs travelling the same speed as a lorry.
  14. im 42 and ive driven too many!!!
  15. yes lorry trailers are tested. i reckon we will see alot more cases like that unless regulations are tougher. I cant believe some of the comments that have been made by some!! Disgusting is all i can say.
  16. RDS make/ market all types of electronic measuring/ weighing, metering devices, very reliable, easy to use and upgrade and great backup i really wouldnt bother with any other company. Like most things the dearest works out the cheapest.
  17. you need to talk to RDS, but even with today technology things aren't accurate.
  18. thats where im going wrong i keep offering myself for various roles but get turned down!!!!!!!
  19. Congragulations Mark!!! although im not in any brochures i am in the Omex promotional film which gets played on their stand at shows, i spent all day being filmed for just a minute or so of footage! Its hard work this acting.
  20. Deutz Intrac so overlooked by the model manufacturers, Weise would really do it justice!!
  21. well Simon that was a bit deep all we need now is the Ice to melt!!!!! I totally agree with you Ploughmaster i am fed up with the low prices, high costs whingeing that goes on in farming, the public/ consumers are in general on the side of UK farmers, if the whingeing carries on farmers will just loose what support they have.
  22. that looks real enough to me, whilst i understand what youre saying BOR when it comes to tractors the model makers are only reflecting what is actually out there, with the exception of the Chav Gold we see from a certain brand???
  23. farmers wanting a level playing field!!!!!!!! Then play fair with hauliers who are at the same time being screwed by all companies including supermarkets. This issue isnt just about safety!!!!! Some of the previous comments give farming a bad name and its because of this attitude legislation is the only way to go. Block cropping can help but so many farmers cannot see the benefits, not just when it comes to transport but other tasks.

thats the way to do it!!! What a cracking model.
  25. the same dirt cheap demand doesnt stop farmers spending gross amounts of money on other flash machinery so why should it have an affect on trailers and the way theyre used????? I think that some farmers need to think how they operate, even block croping would help reduce the amount of road travel, maybe even temporary storage solutions in some cases? a bit of organisation could help no end for everyone but at the same time play fair. .
