Did you check the link I put up, didn't read it myself just enough to see it was helpful, The test print is all done from the SD card you can't alter any of that, And I just realised you probably don't know where to look for actual settings so I've taken a screengrab of my setting to show you, Notice it is set to PLA Generic don't panic about these setting most never get changed except quality infill and print speed. Regards Joe.

Good the first printer I built also forgot one of the cables, But a socket with no plug suggests somethings amiss, As for the SD card lots of guys save their pieces straight to the card as gcode files, Not sure of the difference, but I always save mine to my stl folder and print them as stl files unless it's a long print 15 / 16 hours or so, after you slice an item you get the chance to chose .stl or gcode, James might shed some light on that. Regards Joe.

Final we snip of info Sean before you end up pulling your hair out tomorrow wondering why you cannot get the filament to go through the extruder there is a knack to it and this video explains how it's do, You might also like to tweek the first 25ml so the filament is straight rather than bent in a coil because it's been wrapped round the spool for some time. Regards Joe.

Whats on your workbench???

Best of luck, and as usual there is a Creality produced video on Youtube, not exactly the same as the one on the SD card but very similar and that electronic voice is a real pain, When I got mine built I had to take all the pressure off the springs they had been screwed right down possibly to save damage in transit you see that near the end, looks a bit Heath Robinson useing a sheet of paper to achieve a level bet but that is the standard I use a strip of matt photo paper as it has just enough rigidity to PUSH as well as pull. The assembly is quite straight forward, but I've built one before, the only things to look out for is to make sure the "nut's" on the T nuts turn around in the slots in the aluminium extrusions and getting the sockets on the silly JST ( Japanese Solderless Terminals ) plugs the right way round they are all labelled but hard to let if your offering them up in the correct alignment ie front or back. Ok but I have just remembered, Before you start building your printer find that Micro SD card as there is a video on that showing how to build the machine, Can't remember if it mentions that in the actual diogram on how to assemble it. Regards Joe. -

Not being funny or anything Sean 'cause I know you prefer building your models by hand but you do now have a new skill to aid model building and most of that cab could be sketched out fairly easily, The cab roof would look really good printed useing Wood effect filament printed .5 ml thin, I did this cab front purely from a scanned photo, the bale in the background is produced useing Wood effect filament it has a nice grainy texture. Regards Joe -
No no no, do a test print first from the gcode files on the SD card you'll find it in the wee bag with the filament samples in a little white SD card holder try one of them first, Also I've just noticed there are supports under your drawbar you'll need to enable supports for that print. Regards Joe.

You probably wont need supports from what I see, you only really need them when an object stretch's out past 50 degrees I think it is all your parts look to be flat on the build plate, I don't know the setting on your slicer but on mine I would only import one of any piece into my slicer the right click on it and multiply it, like you have 13 hinge pieces there I would just use one then add 12 more, keep that in mind for future use, amazing what can be done in the slicer. Regards Joe.

A wee bird told me you were getting one, You'll have no regrets there Sean excellent printer that it has Creality's brand new extruder so it can print flexible you can print your own tyres now, But I would suggest you get 3 / 4 sticks of Tombow glue sticks similar to Pritt but harder like candles go's further than print, And you'll need to watch a few Ender 3 pro bed levelling tutorials as you prints are only as good as your first layer very similar to laying brick's, ??. Regards Joe.

Funnily enough I was just thinking the same about your sketch's last night how they would print, I have printed steps for a tractor cab with holes only 1mm in diameter and they came out perfect, But I was also thinking you would probably be mainly makeing part to fit in with your period display so mostly thing a similar size to that trailer so I reckon you would maybe be better getting a resin printer, be interesting to see what James has to say. Regards Joe.

That's a very canny piece of work Sean, You might have a tricky time doing wheels / tyres I've seen tutorials of them being done, But you need to use very different settings for those flat pieces are fairly straight forward but doughnut shapes with evenly space tread pattern is something else, I'll maybe get round to it one day as I'd love to be able to reproduce Titan Dunlop LSW 1400's. Regards Joe.

That's an absolute cracker Sean well impressed, Might not suit your requirement exactly, but you can scale up / down in your slicer you will need one so your printer knows what to print unfortunately I have no idea which ones are compatible with Apple but I think they may actually do their own one, also in your slicer you can fabricate / manoeuvre parts through any angle you wish. Regards Joe.
