  1. Someone asked this on another site, it was what farm vehicles in France used to carry before the days of flashing beacons
  2. Which cultivator would be ideal to run ahead of the Vaderstad Spirit drill? Thinking either a Bednar Swifter or Lemken Rubin, but would a plough be a contender too?
  3. The Wiking Lexion is a very decent model, most of the bigger real ones seem to have tracks but the tracked versions are very hard to find now, and the tracked Trions have sold out now too I think, not that I could justify buying one to rob the tracks off it. I bought the Montana version which could always pair up with the Conspeed maize header or something, but despite looking very nice the Trion is not Wikings finest hour.
  4. Convio header on an older generation Lexion works for me too 😂
  5. And that background on the Fordson looks like Barrys @Udimore to me? (Nicked photo?)
  6. I put a Schuco John Deere 7800 on ebay recently, it was the latest in a long line of re-releases of a familiar model, which I had tried to change to a 7810 by use of a badly cut out sticker. I considered removing it and putting it on in original form but I decided to leave it on, thinking the buyer could always remove it if so intended. But I was fully aware it was a model which was still available and wasn't expecting to retire on the proceeds. I was astonished when it shot up to £160 but I also wondered if it was a time waster as I'd already blocked someone who messaged saying they would pay £20 for it and then upped their offer to £150 and £200. Then there was a bid retraction, so it dropped to £112 (still too much) and then it went up again to £160, same high bidder who had previously withdrawn their bid. Then they ask if they can pay after their holiday, which I wasn't best pleased about but said if they did win it and couldn't pay straight off there wasn't much I could do about it. Then they ask why I am selling such a rare model - I tell them its not rare, and then they want to cancel their bids which I do - then it drops to £38! Then just before it finishes it starts rising again but the winning bidder doesn't want it because they'd been outbid and had bought the model elsewhere! So it ended up being relisted. The moral of the story (if indeed you've got this far) is: always read the description!
  7. I like it - even if its got a face only a mother could love 😁
  8. Just saw these classics leaving the classic car show today, there were a few more but I missed them
  9. Well I have sold a few things of late, and some more bits and pieces are up for sale, someone has bid £112 on a JD 7800 which I altered to a 7810 (but not very well) so I suspect that bid will be withdrawn especially when you can still get the 7800s for a good deal less. the Replicagri Renaults are going to be sold too though at not sure if eBay is the route for them.
  10. I think so Paul, more options! Plus they are very popular around here. I will keep the Masseys and a couple of the Fendts though, I just would like an older Fordson - Dexta or Power Major etc.
  11. I had one of the older MF telehandlers Paul and the attachment was removable if you undid some screws. I have got a small Manitou and the attachment off that is removable as well. I imagine it would be the same for the new one.
  12. A couple of better pictures now they are out of the box. The T7 has to be the most-difficult-to-remove-from-a-box-model I have ever encountered! I had to drill out around the screws as the screw heads had completely worn down. Worth the effort as it is a great model but there’s no way it can ever go back on its plinth!
  13. There is a new version of the CR10.90 combine coming as well, updated graphics
  14. I quite like that Kramer handler and did wonder about getting one myself but I am quite happy with the Claas Scorpion for now and a pair of Manitous. I heard the Kramer based Scorpions were better than the following Liebherr machines l, though that was a few years ago and suppose they could have sorted them now. I wonder if we will get a model of the current Scorpion incarnation? I don’t think there is a lot on the horizon telehandler wise.
  15. Was the longer nosed 1474 as based on the TW-25 skid unit rarer than the short nosed TW-20 based earlier model? I’ve seen mention that less than 40 of the short nosed model were produced
  16. Following on from the Landini Starland, a terracotta New Holland version of the same tractor has arrived today.
  17. I am wondering if weathering the wheels with mig pigment and pva might prevent any more leakage
  18. Just had this Landini version of the ‘Genesis’ tractor
  19. I had one of those Weise Deutz’s with that problem James. The tyres on this combine don’t feel sticky though, they just seem to leave those marks. Very odd.
  20. I don't have much of a display, just a piece of board on top of a piece of furniture- which I intend to cover with something more realistic- but I have noticed that the USK Deutz combine leaves wet looking marks on this board, but no other model does, is this just some sort of reaction between the rubber and this type of board? Always been curious why it's just that model.
