  1. Thankyou Richard for the translation. But no thankyous too siku that list of re-hashed tractors & implements from recent years plus front mounted implements that are always crude looking compared too UH are sadly of little interest for me I was hopeing too see an MF6480/90 & perhaps a twin axle grain tipping trailer from either Krampe or Joskin :'( Perhaps they may release a mystery MF in the 4th quarter (new generation 8400 series will be due then )
  2. This is definately the most ugly tractor in Claas line up Hopefully it will be replaced by something more in keeping with the handsome new Arion model
  3. Large toy dealer tells me that Viking are part of Siku group So how about an MF6490 with new bonnet & Lex 600 on tracks plus 10.5metre header Pleeeaassseee!!!!!!!!
  4. Yes well done now perhaps someone would be kind enough too translate the list of 1/32 models into good old english for those of us who are linguistically challenged (Dont understand German, sorry \)
  5. I saw the photos from Agritechnica last week of JD7430 plus a crappy gift set \ The tractor interests me as it has more detail & the new one piece door fitted to it But so far none have shown up at UK toy dealers \ Anyone know if this model is going to be available in UK???
  6. I guess the size of tractor needed too pull the 7f kv will depend on the type of carpet you have in your living room If its a bit threadbare youll pull plough with JD6920 but if its "shagpile" like mine you will need JD8330
  7. Thanks for kind words, I only wish I had more suitable implements too go behind this size of tractor which typically is a tillage tractor, so a 5 or 6 f plough or a 5 leg flatlift would be my favourites, however it does look like next year will deliver lots more options with Vaderstad cultivations kit & a Horsch terrano being high on my wanted list
  8. These relatively small detail changes have had a dramatic effect on this tractor which in real life size has too be best looking in its class Heres one last pic of those chunky rear tyres And in case your wondering they dont rub against any other part of tractor
  9. Finally I sorted out the wayward exhaust pipe by drilling a hole through it & into tractors cab, then another larger hole halfway through pipe. I then screwed a long micro screw into hole & into cab until the exhaust was in its correct position The hole was filled with milliput & painted matt black.
  10. Thirdly I sawed of a 5mm section of old wheel axle and fixed it too rear wheel centre too create the bar axle effect.
  11. Secondly I gave wheels 3 coats of lemon yellow enamel paint & painted wheel nut silver too
  12. Hi all, I like too keep my conversions simple as possible and decided it was time too prepare the 7830(205hp) to replace current 7920(200hp) on the carpet farm Firstly I removed the lifeless looking tyres & replaced them with Siku ones, Fendt 930s on back, JD6920 on front not a bad fit I think!
  13. Hi Gogreen, Did 7430 have new panoramic cab door design (no window pillars) if so Ive got too have one!!!
  14. It is a nice model but I have seen a reason why it cant be correctly converted too a 6400 it doesnt have the "oh so sexy" shark gill air vents on the bonnets side panels \ Anyway compare if you will the UH Fendt 818 with the new limited edition Siku 718 The 818 has a wee bit more detail but its the siku version that really looks the business with its big tyres Now just think how good a new MF 6400 (hopefully 6490) is going too look if Siku get their hands on the licence Which is expected for 2008! Even better will be if Wiking do a model of it as ive been told that they are part of the siku empire Right im off to drown in my own drool
  15. Looks like yet another fine model in a week that has been nothing short of sensational for us collectors I suspect that with very minimal conversion work this 5480 could become a 6480 The exhaust looks like it might need beefing up & I also think 64s have 4 roof lights &54s have 2. Oh & a Number 6 for the decal Other than that its all in the electronics &transmission.
  16. I have decided on a patience is a virtue policy with model buying! Im baseing my purchases on what is popular in real life working the fields in east anglia and wont buy any model I dont see For example we have plenty of JD8030,7830,7530 & 6920s also Case Quadtracs. So I have bought models of these As far as implements go its Vady drills & cultivation kit, Horsch kit , KV ploughs , Marston trailers, New Holland combines & balers etc. This makes things a lot less expensive than buying fleets of various brands of tractors & more discerning too. Also its nice when a new piece of kit is released that fits the farms profile and can be bought
  17. I see that my early post was also deleted! I was aiming my response at CASEs designer for its lurid gold & red paint scheme which I think makes this tractor look "tacky" when compared too the super looking all standard Magnum & Quadtrac machines My comments were not aimed at Ertl/Britains! Bill if I offended you I apologise unreservedly! I think I have been one of Britains more staunch supporters on this forum in the face of much harsh criticism I have several of current tractors in my collection including super new T7060/Puma 210/JD78/7930 However I echo Nicks view on free speech on this forum and will continue too praise or criticise where I feel its justified, Its the different responses that make this forum so interesting and long may these contrasting views continue
  18. I thought 936 said this drill wasnt at Agritechnica? That picture was taken at Agritechnica Benny? Anyway its ace & im glad I didnt waste good money on Britains dull version \ Looks like another item too go behind my new Quady
  19. Thanks for those photos 936 some very nice models What I was also interested in was the Amazone 5200 crop sprayer & New Vaderstad models, did you check out these manufacturers stands???
  20. Absolutely typical we wait 30 years for a top quality model plough and then two come along at once
  21. In profi this month there is article on Lemken tansanit plough with 7 slated mouldboards. It states that for a standard mouldboard plough with 7 furrows such as PB100 you will need 225-250 hp Remember PB100 is a heavy tool and its got the vari width function! So yes you could pull it at its closed setting with 140hp (provided you are working on the beach ) but open the width of the plough and work on "mans land" and you will need 250hp+ not only for power too pull it but also for tractor size &weight too keep plough in the ground I have decided too upgrade the carpet farms existing JD7930(225HP) too the forthcomeing JD8330 (275hp) too perform plough pulling duties for 2008 This tractor will certainly be "boss of the job"
  22. I see myself as the Simon Cowell of convo critics and feel most conversions are not very good when compared too what can be made by the model manufacturers! But I have too say that this 450 Quady is exceptional Somebody else would have left it with mudgurds suitable for wheels & not tracks(agrium) Jason has even got rear linkage correct even down too the colour (yes thats right its black not red Well done & 10 out of 10
  23. 7530 looks great! even better with new panoramic one piece door fitted just like very sexy CASE puma
  24. Im hopeing this tractor (8330) will take its cue from current 8430 tracked model!! That means it will get a decent cab that fits in with my carpet farm collection The 8530 precision cab maybe detailed but its door pillars are too chunky and as for that annoying blind in the front window......GRRRRR and another thing the 8530 rear linkage wont pick up my cultivator , but the 8430Tracked model does so lets hope 8330 will have same spec as 7930 albeit with tyres similar to new Puma210
