  2. I though you would be en route by now ?? Thanks for your PM ... I've just PM's you back Oh and to keep on topic its cloudy but quite nice and warm here in Aberdeen.
  3. She looks great DB. I'm not into DB's myself more of an Farmall / International and Nuffield man but I would love to have one of these to pull my tractors to shows if I had the space for it and of course the all important thing... "loads of money" to buy one !!!
  4. Poor old Marky he seems to take a lot of stick. Mind you he can't be that poor - the way he was complaining earlier about being annoyed by his tax bill !!!!
  5. Could you arrange to share it with Scotland FB
  6. Now I like the look of that Douglas Taskmaster. What would it have been used for pulling areoplanes or something heavy? What about speed are they fast movers ?? Sorry for all the questions but that tractor appeals to me a bit like the Trantor I suspect.
  7. Very mild here in Aberdeen despite the heavy rain !!!!
  8. I've just looked at the BBC web page for the forcast and Saturday is forecast to be heavy rain and Sunday sunny intervals. I think I may well just take the one tractor now my 1957 Nuffield DM 4 and leave my Farmall cub at home and keep her nice and clean for Glamis Castle show on the 8th July.
  9. Welcome on board. What's the picture on your profile - must be a Case / International is it ??
  10. You should be happy Marky. You only pay tax when you are making money !!!!
  11. The Castle Fraser Steam and Vintage Fair is on this weekend ( 23rd & 24th June 2007 ) in conjunction with the Bon Accord Steam Engine Club Ltd. Full details from the website. http://www.bonaccordsteamclub.co.uk/
  12. I was wondering if anyone know's of the best type and shade of paint to use on the Britain's Muledozer No 9535. I have one boxed but one of the lugs on the side is broken and I intend trying to mend it now I have acquired an unboxed one from Ebay last week but has some paint flake.

If you could PM me the cub owners name that would be great. I only know of one other French cub up here in Scotland other than my own but then again there could be others hiding away in sheds. I would be interested to find out the serial number and if he knows the year of manufacture since I haven't as yet been able to age mine and hence have been able to get it road registered. Mind you over the past few years i have just used this one at a local working weekend.

John, I like the French Cub it looks in good original condition. Was that taken at your local show yesterday that I said I might come come down to?. If it was I wish I had since I'm missing an air clearner top and I might have been able to get dimensions of that one in order to try making one or fabricate a look a like for someone to make in metal. I didn't get to the show I intended on Saturday since it poured rain alll down. It cleared up by lunchtime on Sunday so I went across to Stonehaven but it was only for cars buses and motorcycles on the Sunday. On the M that must be a diesel engine that was put in. The chrome exhaust stack doesn't look right for that tractor otherwise nice.
  17. Boy I would love to have these in my real collection. Both look to be in such good nick.
  18. We appear to have missed the floods here in Aberdeen. Today dull and light wind but as I speak the sun is offering to break through.
  19. Was a cold start to the day when I left for work at 5.45 am ( 2 degrees and temperature light flashing) but now has turned into a really nice sunny day with a light wind here in Aberdeen.
  20. I had an e-mail from Layla at G&M models earlier this week saying that the drill and the 5000 were due into them this week. Looks like this could be them on e-bay too.
  21. Boy that was a quick response Marky but then again I was expeting the "massey man" would know !!!
  22. Nice pictures despite odd looking wheels on rear of 65. I'm no Massey expert but doesn't anyone know where these wheels would have came from??
  23. Light rain carried over from last night here in Aberdeen but boy I'm glad since I won't have to sprinkle the garden.
  24. Glad to hear that FM. Looked impressive and all for a good cause.
  25. Pardon the pun but that's must be a "muddy" Landrover with a registration like MUD E. 1967 model is it ? What series and is it a petrol one ? Oh and keeping on the topic what plans have you for the old rake??
