catkom3
Hi guy's,been working on this for a few weeks now,did have it finished earlier but the original Hycote smoke grey paint just would not go off,had to strip it and paint it again, but now here it is,thanks to somebody in an earlier thread who mentioned it was a pity none of the model manufacturers produced a D6 Cat,which got me thinking, must be something out there that would do the job, that's when I spotted this Ros Fiat-Hitach dozer, the Överum plough on the back is a convo as well, normally on the back of my Fendt 936 along with the 4 furrow Överum I think I'll put the Gregiore Besson Precilitor on it once it's released, any comments always welcome, Regards Joe. catkom3
Aye,the tracks are original,a right pain in the ar$e I painted them with that Hycote smoke grey, and had to strip them as well, none to keen on putting Nitromorse on rubber, but it turned out fine, Regards Joe. Tractorman810
ah its the same plough then, will you be putting a front hicth onto the crawler then
catkom3
Na,don't think a front hitch would work on a crawler, might put weights on,I think these will look good http://www.witomo.net/__Frontgewichthalter%20f%C3%BC%20r%20SIKU-Frontdreieck%20mit%2012%20einzelnen%20Gewichtsplatten%20aus%20Wei%C3%9F%20metall%20__5385_16.04.html# Regards Joe. Kiwi6920
I love it mate, top job, how hard do you think it would be to build a cat bonnet and cab to fit on that chassis? That is a aussome convo tho
catkom3
Nick,I think it would be damned near impossible to convert that into a Cat,the nearest equivalent would be the old D6 which is totally different, see some pictures here http://www.farmphoto.com/FPv2/thread.aspx?mid=633122#633122 Regards Joe. Ziko
Looks very good mate! Maybe you can open up the holes in the grille again with a needle?
catkom3
The mesh on the grill is laser etched brass,I think prodding it with a pin would stretch it and burst it,but thanks for the comments Ziko Glad I've got you thinking Nick, Regards Joe.
