Precision prices in 'free-fall'

Maybe an obvious question, but why is it that the JD 8530 and 8430 precision prices have crashed recently?  Surely there can't be sufficient around for folks to be effectively dumping them for less than £35 brand new?  ??? ??? ???

Undoubtedly John Deere are about too release its new 8000 series tractors and crawlers this summer in the states and in UK in the autumn and therefore new ertl replicas too. As KSP says they are getting rid of the old uns before the new stock arrives like any other business ;)

Sorry for going off-topic but heres JD press release from 2008.

http://www.deere.com/en_US/newsroom/2008/releases/agriculture/08072008_eq_nameandnumber_release.html

But i've just bought some 8530 from Towse and 'course im glad but it isnt the same to look on my 8530/8430 and then look at my JD 8400 when i know how difficult it is to get a 8400 and how easy (and cheap) it is getting a '30 series.

  • 2 weeks later...

I would think the FW30 and MF1505 are possibly lined up for deletion from the range and have simply been 'remaindered' to clear the remaining stock.  They probably want to clear the  FW30 in particular before the newly tooled FW60 is released later in the year.

I think you will also find the JD 7020 is in the same group as the FW and 1505 and orange bulk trailer.
