deKleijn
Would make nice rebuilds, dont know where you take these fotos, but maybe a new tv show, hoarding farmers?
Leakeyvale
Would make nice rebuilds, dont know where you take these fotos, but maybe a new tv show, hoarding farmers? Great idea - but I like the title of this topic which would make a great TV show title. There was one once that showed about an old car found under a mound of what can only be described as compost and brambles. I think it was a 1900's Austin Any film producers on this Forum? deKleijn
There are some good programs on the tv, but really lacking farming programs. especially machinary concerned. Even a program integrating old and modern equipment would be good
CMB
Old conv baler that's been sitting in the corner of a field since I first came here. Apologies for the photo quality they were snapped from a distance on my mobile:
altrac
I've a few to add to this but I'll need to dig them out first. Does anyone know of the field west of Thame on the way to Farol's John Deere with all the machinery in it? I went past with my Uncle last year and have been kicking myself ever since for not taking any photos of it! Certainly worth a look over the fence/drive down the drive (if no-one's looking!) altrac
Well here's the first of a few, a massey 1250 that seems to have been either a home made conversion or possibly a professional one. Not quite in hedgerow condition but abandoned for now It seems to have just been a case of taking the back end off and putting a whole new one on Obviously it's been in for major repairs to the crane at some point, looks like someone's snapped the main arm right off at some point! altrac
Here's a nice G reg scania V8 (can't tell you the model, sorry) sitting rotting in the field behind the yard of a farm in East Lothian. The haulage business rent a shed in the yard and the farmer's also a bit of a hoarder so it's an interesting one to look around!
altrac
In the same yard sits a volvo loader with either a broken half shaft or wheel bearing
altrac
And on the same farm a bale elevator that's past its best! Not sure of make or model as it was a while ago, I took a photo of the manufacturer's plate but it's blurry, I can tell you it was a Lister engine on it though
altrac
And to Fife now, near to Crail Airfield, first off this forklift was sitting on the airfield itself, not at all sure of what make or model as I'm not up on my forklift knowledge! Then nearby was this JCB 3CII and a dumper truck The JCB looked like it had maybe been parked there for renovation and never made it out, as the back hoe was off and parts were lying around Cab didn't look the best Though hardly surprising after 7000+ hrs
altrac
Also there was a bale elevator in this 'yard' Some more of the JCB And last one for now, the dumper truck which I didn't give so much attention to as I like JCBs more!!
