BGU
Not brilliant, lots of overspray. Still mini BGU likes it, except for the roofs falling off, feel a superglue moment coming on!
THEBRITFARMER
Is the dutch barn not the same as the old ones just a different colour and the pgisty roof looks like the roof from the old stand alone ones. I think the gate to the sty may also be a reissue from the older playbases.
BGU
The sty roof is definately the same as the stand alone one, as I have that. The old plastic is much more solid/stiff and thicker. I forgot to say the branches fall off the tree as well.!!!!
NewHolland2
I forgot to say the branches fall off the tree as well.!!!! Is there anything which actually stays together BGU? It sounds like a pretty disastrous product from Britains point of view......
BGU
You will also note the missing gate as it had a broken hinge when it came out of the box. Please don't buy this................... Sorry Britains I like your models but not his one!! :(
JC
Well at least it has the pond painted blue, if you were relying on it holding real water it would most likely leak! ? :D
BGU
No credit where credits due mini BGU filled it up and it doesn't. Hooray a plus point! :
THEBRITFARMER
Did you buy it froma shop? I would be taking that back toot sweet or I would write Britains directly. That is just unacceptable
BGU
I bought it from the dreaded TRAGO MILLS!! Newton Abbot!
britainsnut
Most of the accessories such as gates, supports, rooves and barns are from the original 70s base only the base itself has been remodeled. The tractor barn roof used to cover a 3/4 penned pigsty
MJB1
saw one at the shop where i buy my siku models from & it was priced at ?14.99 \
BGU
I paid ?10.99 for mine. Not worth that!! All of the parts are modelled on the original, it's just that the plastic used now is so bendy and rubbish. I say bendy but of course the gate hinge broke!! BGU
I might have to eat humble pie here as mini BGU has played with this base for ages and ages. No further damage, doen't knock the roofs off now!
BGU
Found another one! Gave MGU a Bauer Vacuum tanker. It's really plasticy. Hardly any metal on it at all. How long will it last carpet farming? Place your bets please.
james f
\ Have to say I rather like that, I have one in mint condition and it looks the part. Can see where you're coming from about it being flimsy though

Lady Ferguson
You will also note the missing gate as it had a broken hinge when it came out of the box. Please don't buy this................... Sorry Britains I like your models but not his one!! :( Now I am going to have to step and defend this model. Who else supplies a large, lightweight playbase with that many features for just ?14.99 Plus, because it hasn't changed much over the years, spares are easy to come by if anything does break. And they are still a best seller... plus, if they were so badly made how come you can still buy 20 odd year old verions second hand My nephew loves his playbase... it does for his toy soldiers as well and slides under the bed when not in use... so even mum's happy. 1972farming
I remember having trouble to get my old bamfords bl58 baler working properly. The wheels used to stop turning when it was towed along so the bales wouldn't come out of the back properly. The new holland 376/377 was better though. I loved the flat eight grab as well. MDFord
Oh its the pretty recent silver one I saw one of the silver ones in a shop yesterday, about ?13 I think. How long have they been discontinued? Thought about getting it but I'm meant to be holding back on purchases till Toytrac
