that arion looks familair cerin, is it the same one i saw you in early december by any chance?

Yeah it sure is mate, isnt prooving to be a very good tractor really had a few problems with it and the only thing it seems good for is on the flat doing road work haha!

Lovely set up Cerin, what sort of work do they offer?

The farm has about 1000 acres combinable crops, then the rest is grass, with about 100 acres of maize grown to sell and then theres a bit thats rented out to cauli, spud and bulb growers! There about 600 cattel and 1200-1300 sheep i think.

Contracting and hire wise they will do anything aslong as they have to kit or can get hold of it, dont have a self propelled forager, but do baling and ploughing, power harrowing ect

With the diggers theres a number of drivers that can go out and drive them or you can just hire the equpiment.

Its a fairly large operation really and always stuff to do!

Nice load of kit, Cerin. Is the workshop side of the business your own choice, more mechanically minded? Or was it a foot hold to get in with them?

I've a feeling I'm going to get stuck behind you lot on my trips down your way, with that much kit it will be hard to avoid you!!! :ha ha!:

Yeah thats right! and they do seem to be shifting a fair few at the moment, there cheap and not a bad tractors but i wouldnt say they are a good tractor, if they hadnt of bought the case it would of been an axion!

Grand pictures, why put sand on a paddock?

Cheers Oli, its sea sand and its either put on to raise or lower the Ph of the soil, but i can remeber which it dose i will find out!

Really good shots Cerin. Shows me how much your life has changed in the last six months. A good (and brave) decision to make a move and you have learned so much from it. ;D

Thanks mum haha, yeah so much has changed but its all for the better!

Yeah i was looking for a workshop placement as thats what i am studying at college, but i do get to go out and drive everyone now and then and help move stock. I like the actuall farming side just as much as i like fixing everything haha!

Good machines the old 3095's sound loverly, at one point the fleet was all massey! The other one is a 3065, its rather rough and is used as a scraper tractor, the 3095 still dose a fair bit of work anything from dump trailers, hauling silage, raking, tedding, road brush is whats on it at the moment!

Great pics Cerin, you're not far from us these days :)  the 6620 looks a bit worse for wear, is that an 02 plate one think I've seen it up Tresaddern way.

Cheers Mark, and yeah was going past yours hauling straw from Porthcothan a few weeks ago! And yeah thats right its even worse than in the picture now, been used and abused time to move it on in my opion its getting rather gutless and has never had the engine touched
