Stabliofarmer
There's a few bits and bobs still to do, some roofing and ridge tiles, chimneys and lead flashing, proper doors and gardening. But I can start up some story lines now. Just bought some of this stuff to experiment with a slightly quicker way to stone work http://www.craft-products.com/realistic-brick-compound.asp , will keep you updated on how it is as its recommended for 1/24th and above but I cant see it being to bad in 1/32. GaryLawson
I was really impressed by your layout at Penrith. You've got loads of original ideas on it. Until I saw these pictures I didn't realise that I've seen the layout before - when it was just the higher part. It's changed a lot! The lambing shed is excellent and I really liked the lean-to with the Series Landrover under it. Congratulations on your award.
Stabliofarmer
Cheers John, great to catch up, may have some good news on the County Erf but I'll get back to you on that when I know more. Thanks very much Gary. Not recognising it must mean that those tiny little men did a good job on the restoration! The landrover under the lean too should have been a beautifuly painted one in the sheep shearing contractors livery but it turns out they aren't as nice to paint as first expected so I ran out of time and a general Britain's model had to be drawn in. tractorboyjules1977
Looks busy , busy ,busy . Love it especially the sheep shearing scene, and loving the old stone buildings ,top job james keep it up
Stabliofarmer
Cheers Julian, tried to get all the seasons in so shearing, lambing, prepping the tups etc, I've built an ultra scanner too but there wasn't enough room in the yard or sheep to display it. Won't be so busy in future updates

Paul Palmer
brilliant James, the picture with the guy in orange overalls kneeling on a black sheet looks very realistic, credit to you
Stabliofarmer
Thanks Dave and Paul. That scene should have looked even better if I hadn't stupidly forgot my gravel that the guys would have been poring onto the waterproof matting to make the path for the house. I'll keep you up to date on the stone compound. I think the brick will be too small for 1/32 but I've ordered the grey stone with a rough stone stencil, will see how it goes

Stabliofarmer
I keep going into the shed, messing about, getting some photos and then not finding time to upload them, so here's some updates, very few farming related sorry. Last month Storm Barney brought down a few bits of rotten trees, we took the decision to remove the rest of the tree before it could cause anymore damage. We had chief arb cat Kipper on the job along with the Matador Matilda and the local tree surgeons Mog along with the farms telehandler.
Stabliofarmer
We also had to rush to weather proof the cottage before the first of the snow came, another delivery of aggregate from the local Cnoc Dubh quarry with their trusty Merc. Stabliofarmer
We then had the first snowfall of the year, which of course meant time for play, after sorting out all the livestock. Arriving at the sheds Where some of the toys are kept Opening the toy box The U411 mog, be better of with the snowblower version in this weather And then the local tree surgeon joined with his 406, the U411 needed some tinkering as usual. As good as the mogs are you cant beat tracks in snow so it was out with the Hitachi CG30 The Unimogs both parked back in sheds with accompanying land rovers No such luxuries for the CG30, just abit of tarp over the seat
Stabliofarmer
Storm Desmond caused a few problems in the local village Quaich and further afield so the Matador and Foden DG were loaded onto our MAN and sent out to help remove some of the fallen tress, Cnoc Dubh quarries also sent one of their Volvo BM loaders to help clear up rubble left by the flood water. As you can see the storm quickly removed the snow however it has fallen again since.

Stabliofarmer
While we had the low loader we moved some of the classics in the Bert Rose collection from the lambing shed at Torrax Hill back to the B.Rose & Co. yard where there shed roof was being repaired. The latest purchase, a Bedford RL, Ex-MOD then Ex-Timber tractor now in rough preserved military form and soon to return to timber tractor lined up with the MAt and DG. The lambing shed was abit cramped with the DG, Militant, Explorer and RL all crammed in. Loading up the Militant That's about it for now, hopefully some more agricultural updates to come in the future James
