nashmach Posted July 24, 2006 Share Posted July 24, 2006 Someone asked did anyone here buy a new machine from a dealer several miles away - well a local at home bought a new Deutz tractor this year and the dealer is a good 1-2 hour drive from his place. He traded in his Valtra even though he's had nothing but Valtra's for ten years. I was talking to him one day and he reckoned Valtras hadn't moved on enough and that the current ones are pretty similar under the tinwork to those he bought in 1996. You have to be an acrobat with that main lever on the 6's with the integral handbrake and on the older ones you have to be into gymnastics to get into a SG2 cab.
