Phil P
bet that wern,t a massey then \ To be fair to Marky, I've only seen one broken down combine this summer and that was Lexion 550, I don't know what was wrong but there were two Claas vans out at it. In fact the only the service vans I've seen on the roads are Claas ones. Every MF Combine I've seen was working away in the fields even in conditions where others had given up. MF's are pretty reliable I think... my old employers told me the year the phones have hardly rung at all... they had a chain problem on a 38 (36 ?) and that was about all \

CX820Joe
For the first time this season saw two combines in the same field one day last week - both JQ's (CTS and WTS) - they were harvesting black beans but it was pouring down with rain. MODELFARMER
Muhahaha Can I put in a combines per acre comment?? Yea?? Good 3 Claas Dominators ----- 1 field 5 acres THATS JUST SILLY BUT CONTRACTORS WILL BE CONTRACTORS :D
the other green
4 combines per field is not out of the ordinary in these parts. If you'd been in southern Manitoba (in the Winkler area) a couple of weeks ago, you'd have seen 100 combines in one field. They were trying for the world record of combining a quarter section (160 acres). They did it in 11 minutes and change. Mostly John Deere combines. A couple of Gleaners and a couple of CAT Lexions too.
Deere-est
I think Marky wouldve liked that. He's a big fan of the 'Winkler' area. . . . :-D :-P

nashmach
53 self propelled and 10 trailed combines all in the one field and all pre 1970 - set a new world record 2 weeks ago - post about it soon.
sparrow legs
i saw 4 claas lexion 480's and 7 john deere tractors and trailers in one field the other week! didnt have my camera so was very upset, was told there were 12 tractors and trailers leading in total! from 6810's to 7920's, most with front linkages for presses, hope to see the drilling rigs! alot of farms round here run 2 large combines on the big arable units and the contractors have 2 combines each on average.
