And this brings me up to the last couple of days with this little beauty over at my mates place ;D

A rarety so Mark and Sean both say. 575 4wd. It has been through the workshop and everthing works, indicators, lights, heater, wiper, brakes, 3 spools, cig lighter, horn, guages... She is an absolute stormer. Sold out of an MF dealer in Tiverton when she was new. Howards picked it up at a sale down that way. Not sure if was bought from the original owner or not though.

My word Tris you do get up to a variety of jobs don't you. I was thinking it was about time for a career change for myself and then I looked out the window and saw the weather and thought no I'll stick to being a pen pusher at present ;D ;D

What a great pictorial record of your work Tris, a pleasure to look at and they will be so interesting for you to look back on years from now - when all that kit is older than the 575 is now :)

The 7840 looks nice, not many with the bonnet paintwork as good as that :D  Do the gears ever jam up on that one?

Thanks men :)

The paint has suffered Mark but it's more noticable from the seat. In any case, as you can see it isn't so bad. As for jamming gears, its been done many a time but when you know what causes it then it can be avoided. I love work pics mate, like you say its a great record and more fun that writing a diary :)

  • 2 weeks later...

A couple more days at my mates last week. Did a bit more chain harrowing for a day. Next day we had to move some cows up to another bit of ground he has got with this old girl.

Then I had a few days with OSMA who manufacture plastic drainage pipes and run their own fleet. All different sizes from storm drain to bathroom fittings. Have put pics of these guys up before but here are a few more  :)

M4 at Maidenhead at 8am  :(

First up was a load of 6m x 450m perferated pipe and 6m x 600mm to go to a site just outside Ely. Half the load was mean't to be unperferated though so I had to take that back.

Then there was another trip to the same part of the world, this time two drops in Essex. One at Braintree and one at Kelvedon.

A load of pipes and joiners for one.
