Kiwi6920
Its just what your used to buddy. for our fert trucks they have kenetic ropes, bloody strange the 1st time you use them.. For tractor on tractor or truck i use chain and slowly pull tight then just lug, used a wire rope once, never again, had dads bulldozer, pulling away then snap.... made a mess just missed dad in the truck, had a big birds nest around the dozers saftey frame, glad it was bush rigged.... Seen to chains pulled in half between 2 bulldozers, that was funny,
SIMON.
landrover??i think not That couldn't pull a magnum ice cream off its stick with those *** tryes and wheels : : ;)
marshman
Um the Ker ropes are good but we have read to many horrer storys in Land rover mag :D In the right hands like your then they would be fine and with heavy stuff then it is less likely to hurt some one as the rope may break but not break the thing it is attached to. In an off road mag the is a artical about them. An Austin champ got stuck and a rangie tryed to pull it out snatching the full length of the rope, his wife go out because she didnt like it and he gave it another go. The nato hitch on the champ (rusty) ripped of the rear crossmember, flew thought the air through the back tale gate of the range took the passanger head rest of and exited throught the front winscreen. Lucky that his wife had got out other wize well doesnt bear thinking about. I think Barry was beemed down from fordzz planet, they got fed up with him going on on and on about fords, he even named the planet after them
