  1. Great idea, as said, it will not be 100% perfect, but it will provide a starting point for many conversions, I am sure. Was it difficult to take apart? (presume you took it apart prior to a fresh coat of paint.)
  2. Still not tired of these blue beautys? Look great, the UH Ford provides a nice base model for several Roadless models.
  3. I am still on the lookout for that Deutz-Fahr DX4.57 with the free animals in the box. Where there any in yours?
  4. I must say it looks smart! Perhaps somebody else could tell me more?
  5. I have recently bought an original owner's manual and a parts catalogue for a Fordson F, these are almost 100 years old (and in Dutch). My camera is broken, otherwise I would have posted some pictures ....
  6. Yes I have seen these before, but I know this seller is really looking for a sturdy bid, and more important, there are no boxes with them. Huh ... I know off the orange one on the left, but what can you tell me about the orange/black one on the right? Was this also done by Niels?
  7. Marvellous! They all seem to be in pretty nice condition .... good job!
  8. For a full set of 5, that would be acceptable. I still only have the green Valmet here, and am always on the lookout for the rest, but I also know my limits.
  9. Nice collection, and it's a good thing to see your son playing with his own models instead of dad's more expensive ones.
  10. Smart job! Love this realistic weathering.
  11. Can't find those Valmets anymore, but I believe they have been offered to me as well. I had to turn them down, because the price was a bit too steep.
  12. An autumn update. I do occasionally collect other models besides Britains Farm models. I try to buy not just anything, but sometimes a whole line of tractors is released on the same base model. So a Hurlimann XM120, a Deutz-Fahr 5130 TTV, a Same Virtus 120 and a Lamborghini Nitro 130 VRT, all by Universal Hobbies, were happily bought. Some Valtra's. A standard UH N142 in black, and a bit more bling, this N143 Unlimited Edition (Agritechnika 2015) by Wiking. Britains 9422 Tractor Britains 9435 Tractor with plow Britains 9550 Cultivator Britains 7168 Accessory set Britains 9668 Melk tanker set A bit out of the box ... 1:16 models by UH. A Fordson F and a County 654. I happen to be a huge fan of vintage tractors (since april this year I became an co-author for Pionier, the club magazine for the Dutch OTMV) Sadly my camera broke down a few days ago, but I also added this model to my collection, a Roadless Ploughmaster 65 by Tabmodels ... after Ian showed us the first one built, I bought another one from him, an absolute amazing model and great addition to my collection! Thanks again Ian, also for the use of this picture.
  13. Great updates here, I knew Britains made lots of colours variations of earlier models, but even the darker green animal box is one I hadn't noticed before. It is often difficult to see variations in colours on a PC monitor, you really have to hold them to see (or dig through some odd boxes at a show).
  14. That green tipper probably comes from this set :
  15. Should have looked here before, I would have certainly bid on those Britains sets ...

  17. And now is the time for a really BIG update! Since my last post here I have decided to focus more on Britains, particularly on farm and gift sets. 18. Was looking at this set (http://www.ebay.nl/itm/VINTAGE-1979-BRITAINS-FARM-TOYS-SET-95929-MASSEY-FERGUSON-FORD-TRACTOR-BOXED-/222099619095?hash=item33b62b3d17:g:WRAAAOSw~oFXIH2P) but is has been sold ...
  19. I ment the Farmall is a true classic, and therefore has nothing to do with UH, Weise, Wiking or other NEW high-detailed models.
  20. Last weekend the LCN member meeting was held at Vredo in Dodewaard, besides selling some models, I also picked up some. To complete the UH Valtra C lineup, the "cow"-edition and the metallic blue. I decided to complete the range of the Valtra's without the front loader, but this nice red one will be loader-less tonight. Has nothing to do with Britains or high-detailled models, but this superb built Farmall A (ScaleDown kit) I couldn't resist ... I try to combine the old with the new, but older Britains will always be the majority in my collection. For sentimental reasons you know ...
  21. Last week I got some new additions. First of all, I have decided to buy all UH Valtra C models without the loader, so this metallic green is a nice find. And an older Britains model, a Deutz DX110 with the handle inside the cab. I noticed the colour of the frame is a sort of grey, while all the other DX-models I know have a black frame. Something
  22. And about the space on my attic, that's the reason I have just started a new years sale, to let go of some models that just don't fit anymore in my collection.
  23. Thanks for the reply's! The orange Valmet has cast panels in orange, so somebody added a colour to the resin I suppose. About the Renault set, I already heard from several people that the notice on the box is correct, and also the trator is correct. But thanks for the explanation anyhow.
  24. The last few months some models have made their way into my collection. This very special version of the Britains Valmet 805, in orange, made by Niels Anchelon, only 30 were made. It has only been in my collection for just a few weeks, since somebody came by and offered me very good money for it. And some other models, 2 x Valtra Mezzo 6850 in green, limited edition by Bevro of a thousand pieces. Also a Valtra C in Claas green, a nicely boxed MF 284 with milk churn carries (just added that) and an older Britains model, a Vicon spreader in straw box.
  25. Nice County, must say I almost went out and bought one lone nose model to convert into a short nose. You don't have any more pictures of when it was built?
